2006 Sierra-no warning chime

I have no warning chime if the lights are left on, keys in ignition, etc. I do not see a fuse listed for the chime. Any suggestions?

There is not a Fuse for this. Look at the Panel under the Dash on the Drivers Side. At the top there are 2 Boxes or Cicles. The one on the Left should be the Buzzer Relay Box.

What is the run wire to the radio in a 2006 h3 hummer?

There isn't one. You have two choices. 1st and best is to purchase the correct interface harness that includes a module that provides the switched power lead or 2) run a wire to a fuse in the fuse box that turns on with the ignition. All GM products since about 1999 have a class 2 data bus system. The data bus wakes up the radio when the ignition is on. The correct harness retains this feature as well as all of the warning chimes (door ooe, key in ignituon, etc) and allows the retention of on star as well. Harness is available from most online sites, best buy, walmart, most auto part stores, local audio shops...etc.

Why won't my My 98 or 99 (sic)Ford Escort chime to indicate I left my lights on?

The warning chime sounds if the parking lamps (13200) or the headlamps (13008) are left on after the key has been removed from the ignition switch lock cylinder and either front door (20124) is opened. There is a chime module that controls this .
The safety belt warning chime (10D840) (also called the central processing unit or CPU) is an audible warning system and timing circuit. The system components include:
  • Timing circuit safety belt switch.
  • Dome lamp switches.
  • Safety belt warning indicator switch which is an integral part of the front safety belt buckle end (61203).
  • Ignition switch (11572).
  • Headlamp switch.
The warning chime sounds and the safety belt warning indicator illuminates when the ignition switch is placed in the ON position and the LH front safety belt is not buckled.
Key In Ignition Warning
The warning sounds if the key is left in the ignition switch lock cylinder when either door is opened and the ignition switch is in the LOCK or OFF position.
Don't any of chimes work ?
  • The Headlamp on Reminder Chime Is Inoperative/Does Not Operate Properly
  • Circuits.
  • Fuse junction panel.
  • Warning chime module.
  • GO to Pinpoint Test D .
Let me know ,mite work this out !
Don't

Warning chime

you have a broken contact in the ignition cylinder.insert a pick or a long thin nail in the hole right underneath ignition swith, keep it pressed and turn ignition to on(do not crank)then pull key and ignition tumbler out from cylinder.you will find a contact piece part of a plastic half ring and a wire which is broken, replace it ,ur problem solved.

I am in the Army and away from home attending a course and my wife calls me to inform me that a steady warning chime is going off inside the truck. When I asked to hear the chime it sounds to me like it...

The headlight switch turns on the courtesy light when twisted. Tell her to make sure that the headlight switch is twisted off the indent. If this isn't it, it may be the body control module.

No warning chime for 2006 Ascender

I don't think it is a fuse.
The warning chimes for this vehicle come through the radio and are play to the speakers and if I remember correctly the chimes play to the left front speaker.
I would check for a faulty speaker or wiring to the speaker.

Warning chimes sound when driver door is opened

sounds like the ignition sw....check closely the key in the tumbler (sw), is there excessive play when you turn it to the off position???try turning it off with a little force to ensure its OFF, does this stop your problem??? if so it either your switch or excessive wear in the key/tumbler /linkage ....let me know if this helps....GL

Warning bell won't stop sounding

Section 13-09: Gauges, Warning Devices — Chime System 1996 Windstar Workshop Manual
DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION Warning Chime Systems Three distinct sounds are used to indicate the area of concern. Seat belt warning generates 1 chime per second
key-in-ignition generates 2 chimes per second
headlight on generates 4 chimes per second.
Key-In-Ignition Warning The key-in-ignition warning will sound when the driver's front door (20125) is opened with the key in the ignition switch. It will continue to sound until the key is removed, the front door is closed, the ignition switch is turned to START or the vehicle speed is over 24 kmh (15 mph).

Safety Belt Warning When the ignition switch is turned to RUN or START from OFF or ACC, the chime will sound for six seconds or until the safety belt is buckled.
  • The safety belt warning indicator lamp (10C859) will activate for 60 seconds or until the driver's safety belt is fastened. Both the chime and lamp activate at the same time.
Anytime the ignition switch is released from START and returns to RUN while the safety belt lamp or chime is activated, the safety belt warning lamp or chime will remain activated until either the timing sequence has been executed, or the safety belt is buckled.

Headlamp Switch On Warning The chime will be activated if the headlamps or parking lamps are ON, the key is not in the ignition and the driver's door is opened. The chime will sound at a rate of four per second.
