Ok, Disconnect it from the Tranny First. This will make it easier to Fish Through. Connect the New Cable on the Tranny. Follow where the Old one Goes with the New one, Removing the Old one as you go. It will enter the Cab and work it's way up to the Sterring Column. You will Need to remove the Dash Panel to Access the Cable on the Shifter, It just Pulls Loose. You are at the Hardest Part of this at this Point. Let me know if you cannot access the Shifter From this Point. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

SOURCE: Corroded battery cable?
To do a good job if you havent already done it is to tip hot water over the battery term and it will dry clean ,,if corroded term then replace it but you dont have to buy with a new lead ,,only a positive term only and then hot water over the battery lug when new term on then spray with Hair spray .
If battery cable dident corrod with other battery then your battery is either charging more than 13.5 volts and or battery post to battery is cracked
Wash and spray then check first
