SOURCE: 2005 Lincoln Navigator. Message says to Check

Most likely the problem you are experiencing with the park assist is a fault in one of the sensors mounted in the rear bumper. I would not consider it to be a major fix, however there will be a few hours labor involved as the bumper cover needs to be removed to replace the sensors.

SOURCE: 2003 lincoln navigator reverse sensor no longer

This is a very common problem and depending on the code, its very likely a radar sensor. It is located in the bumper cover.

I troubleshooting the heater in a 2000 lincoln ls and i noticed that the HEGO'S relay was missing from the fuse box that is under the hood. Does it have anything to do with the heater and what exactly...

No it has nothing to do with the heater. I am guessing you are not getting heat. Ford is famous for either the blend door motor or the blend door itself is broken. Motor is located on the air box usually at the bottom of centre of dash on the hump in the floor

Bank one is on the side with cylinder one, and sensor one is before the catalytic converter. Same goes for bank two.

06 lincoln navigator check engine code p0420 what that mean

There is a problem with the catalytic converter. P0420 sets when the downstream o2 sensor is either reading higher than expected or reading simular to the upstream O2 sensor. Either way it is usually the catalytic converter that is the source of the problem and rarely the downstream O2 sensor.

The Catalytic converter is located in the exhaust system under the car. Catalytic converters from either the dealer or a quality direct fit part from a reputable manufacturer are recommended. Cheap cats lead to lots of problems!

Where is the GEM located on a 1999 lincoln navigator

I found no topics found when entering 'GEM' on the 1999 Lincoln Navigator. What is a GEM?: Electronic Engine Controls WARNING
To avoid personal injury and/or vehicle damage, refer to the service precautions at the beginning of this section.
General Information The Engine Management System (EMS) uses several different sensors and actuators to gather and control various emissions and driveability aspects of the vehicle. These may include but are not limited to:
  • FTP - Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor
  • A/F - Air Fuel Ratio Sensor
  • CKP - Crankshaft Position Sensor
  • CMP - Camshaft Position Sensor
  • EGR Valve Position - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Position Sensor
  • HO 2S - Heated Oxygen Sensor
  • IAC - Idle Air Control Valve
  • IAT - Intake Air Temperature Sensor
  • KS - Knock Sensor
  • MAF - Mass Air Flow Sensor
  • TP - Throttle Position Sensor
These sensors provide critical information to the EMS such as, barometric pressure, atmospheric pressure, intake manifold/engine vacuum, fuel tank pressures and changes as the vehicle is operated.

Where the O2 sensors located for a 2003 lincoln navigator

O2 sensors are always in the exhaust of the engine. it measures the exhaust gas to help regulate fuel delivery. the lincoln probably has two banks of sensors. one on each side of the motor located close to the engine in the exhaust pipes. looks a little like a spark plug sticking out of the pipe and will have an electrical line going less than a foot to a connector. there can also be one after the catalytic convertor. same look there too. hope this helps and good luck

1998 lincoln navigator code131 and 133

It means you need to replace your O2 sensor, bank 1. You can buy a new sensor at any auto parts store, usually around $20. The bank 1 means it is the first O2 sensor in the system. To find it, start at you exhaust manifod, and search back along the piping. The first O2 sensor you find is the one that is failing. A wrench or socket can be used to removed the old and install the new.

Good Luck!!
