SOURCE: vibrating, noisy Toyota rav-4 roof

  1. Take off the ceiling panel,
  2. Take the panel off, usually have several screws behind the handles, seat belt mount bars, pup the small plastic cover on those bars and you will see the screws.
  3. fter you open th panel, check the losing screw for your roof rack , see if it is with a steel washer, If with the washer, you just need to tighten it, otherwise it is better to add a waser, you don’t have to worry about it again. But you have to check and tight one at a time.
  4. good luck.

Hope this can help.

SOURCE: need left rear plastic cap

Hello gsh.... you may have to go to a dealership to get this part. IF you go to their parts department and get or order the part, then you can install it yourself.

Other wise you could possibly see if a "junkyard" or auto salvage business could obtain one for you as they are all interconnected now through the internet.

Joe

Thanks for choosing Fixya

How do I remove a headliner in a 2001 toyota rav4?

roof racks are fitted on the exterior of the body and there is no need to go under the hood lining (holes = leaks) find fitting instructions and you will see how it is done . if no instructions go to a place that sells your roof racks and they will tell you how to do it.

2000 Rav4 roof rack rails need to be moved further apart. How can I do that?

at the end of the roof rack poles are locking devices. They are simple to unlock but are usually a little tricky to find because we dont want them accidentally unlocking when you strap something to them. You have to unlock both ends to move the bars as far apart or as close as you want.

Remove roof racks off

I JUST TOOK MINE OFF YESTERDAY. (MARCH 1, 2008) YOU NEED TO UNSCREW THE PHILLIPS SCREW IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CHROME LATCH. THEN YOU WANT TO POP THE COVER OFF WITH A FLAT HEAD SCREW DRIVER. THEN FINALLY REMOVE THE 10mm SIZE BOLTS WITH A RATCHET. THATS IT.......GOOD LUCK......THIS GAVE MY ARMADA A SLEEK/DIFFERENT LOOK WITHOUT THE ROOF RACK
