Why is my 1993 mercedes benz300e hard to start when engine reaches normal running temp.

This is a fairly common problem with naturally-aspirated engines as they age, because the oxygen sensors become contaminated and do not operate as effectively, plus the idle air controls become sluggish in their operation and fail to adjust quickly enough. If the CHECK ENGINE light is on, check the codes, and most likely you will find that one or more of the oxygen sensors are at fault.

Try starting the car while holding the throttle at 1/3 to 1/2 until it starts. If it starts more easily that way, do that each time you start the car when it's warm. Replacing the oxygen sensors and the idle air control will solve the problem but part-throttle starting will save time and money in the meantime if the trick works.

Cranks good but hard start

Could be a number of things, but I would start with the engine coolant temp. (Ect) or air temp sensor. These will control your air fuel ratio and make it hard to start. I had a vehicle which started great when cold, but started hard when warm.

Location of crank sensor on 2003 c320

The "crank" is located in the bottom end of the engine and normally the sensor is around there too.

My 2008 Acadia is overheating. About 6 months ago it overheated but cooling levels were fine. Nothing was repaired and everything started working as expected. Yesterday, it started overheating again. ...

it sounds as though your acadia may not actually be overheating, it sounds more like the tempeture sensor is bad, if its "froze" at a certain reading this could fool your computer, you should be able to replace this part for around 20 or 30 dollars. hope this helps

Hard starting when cold ( engine cranks normally )

see if your engine has a ECT sensor (temp sensor that delivers information to your ECM) they are installed on the intake side of the cylinder head, it usually has 2 cables, have it checked replace if necesary

99'concorde stalls, wont start until cool again..

When cold, your engine runs from a different computer mode than when warmed up...It seems that when you reach temp, the normal "run" program transitions in (undercomplicated version) Usually when the signal from the temp sending unit does not change (bad sender) the engine will remain running but will run rich. Usually if the sending unit wire is disconnected it will also remain in "cold" mode. I'm thinking that possibly the sender is internally shorting out or the computer isn't working correctly. If you have an engine light on, likely you can retrieve a code that may point you to something in that area. Or, since sender isn't very costly, change it and see if the problem clears up. (I'm not a big fan of just putting in parts without testing, but in this case it may pay off)
Good Luck

C220 1994 sometimes doesn't start

you should change the crankshaft position sensor this is the only thing i could think of that would cause this type of no start intermittently, when you come back 5-10 minutes later does it fire right up or is it an extended crank time? either way i believe that very well could be your problem and i would have never changed a perfectly good mass airflow meter for a problem like this,,please rate good luck -jeff

Cold start valve problem

if you have an electric cold start valve make sure to unplug it and if keeps apling fuel with electrical conector unpluged that means the valve is not good, but if not then you have an electronic problem, possible a bad cold start sensor or cold start module or cicuit problem, and might be a time to take it to an electrical shop
