Hand tool (side cutters)DWHt70275 Tip broke off after only 3 weeks of use

Was using them to cut metal screening (small qauge), looked at them and one of the hardened metal cutting tips was broken off (app 1/8-1/4 inch) This tool is virtually new, only had it 3 weeks. This looked like a substantial tool when I purchased it. Paid about $30.00 dollars for it. They are about 7 1/2 inches in length with a black and yellow substastantial rubber hand grip, and a mechanism to lock them closed when not in use. Would like to have a replacement pair, if they are going to last longer..

Sounds like you have some EGR ports clogged up, remove the intake and look at the egr ports all but
#1 cyl port will probably be at least partially clogged, hope this helps

SOURCE: 2000 Dodge neon motor mount

Not sure why the they did that i am guessing the reason is that either it does not matter or every car is unique. i would just swap the old one onto the new one just to be safe.
I will do a little research to find the real reason

SOURCE: Ground shielding wire for needle lift sensor?

Shielding wires are always only connected at one end. Connecting at both ends substantially reduces the protection offered.

I have a 2006 impala LT & I don't know how to get

Disconnect the tie rod and it should come off. Is this the type which has a metal band clamp holding it in place? Cut the band. New part should come with new clamp band which (wait for it...) requires a special tool to install, but can often be fitted by careful use of dull side cutters or bull nose cutters.

How do i disconnect seatbelt chime mitsubishi mirage

On many cars, the seat belt sensor is also used to trigger the airbag. Investigate whether this is the case on your car before doing anything drastic to your seat belt alarm.Locate the wire under the driver seat that connects to the buckle with the release button. It should be towards the rear on the right hand side, where you plug the belt into.Follow the wire to an area under the seat where you will be able to fit your hands into.Look for two wires running together. Cut through both of them and slightly separate the ends apart.Use electrical tape to cover the wire ends so they do not short out on each other or metal under the seat.Tuck the wires away from the seat brackets so they do not get tangled if you move your seat.OR>>>>

On the side of the receptacle (where you would slide the buckle into) are two non-tamper torx screws.
Remove the screws using a hollow T10 bit.Carefully remove the plastic side cover. It contains a spring loaded slide switch.Remove the small spring and slide the switch down to its lowermost position. You can double check by watching the seat belt light on the dash go out.Replace the plastic cover and screws.Store the small spring for use in the future. This way the system thinks the buckle is always in so the light and chime won't alert at all.

Need to know how to remove hood hinges that have factory welded or glued to firewall, 1993 ford ranger?

Most are spot welded into place. The only way to do it is to cut them out, using a grinder to remove the spot welds as best as possible then removing the hinge with a dead blow hammer, or use a metal chisel to help dislodge it the rest of the way

Best method of cutting bumper to fit towbar on saab 9-3 salon

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

Here in our motor shop, we use a metal plate or cutter to cut the bumpers in case of modifications. Heat up the blade or plate before proceeding to cutting procedure. When the metal blade is heated it makes the cutting easy.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Heater hose connector at firewall is broken

Hi. I just had the same issue on my '99 Silverado last week. There are two connections for the heater hoses to the Heater core. One is white and the other is black. The Black one is available at any autoparts store for about 5 bucks but the white one is a dealer only part that the autoparts store guys will say does not exist. That is the bad news. The good news is that you do not need to use the dealer only part. The black fittings worked just fine for me. You will need to use a fuel line disconnect tool to remove the existing fittings from the heater core. These should run between 10 and 20 bucks for a set. Good luck. Joe

Gas leaks on right side by back tire

broken gas line ? cut line twice ( each side once) with pipe cutter (small plumbing tool) cut it long enough to be able to put the rubber hose you are buying, usually 6 inches of rubber hose for 4 inches of tubing cut off. remember to slide the 2 clips to hold the rubber hose secure and tighten them. test to see if it's good .

I need the fittings on the radiator, where the lines from the transmission connect to for a 2006 Ford Explorer. can i buy these separately?

Using a backup wrench disconnect the fitting and oil line. Use a tubing cutter to cut the line short of the the crimp. Use a flaring tool to flare the cut ends. Install a length of 3/8 inch inside diameter oil cooler hose with hose clamps on the far side of the flares.

Sunroof cable broke how to close it

remove overhead console, then remove the metal bracket, then you'll have access to the sunroof motor bolts. Remove the motor and you'll probably see that the cable is damaged. Use a pair of wire cutters and cut it out of the way and then feed the cable back into the groove/slot( you'll have to move the sunroof by hand while doing this). Then put the motor back in and turn the key on to opperate the sunroof closed. That should hold you over untill a replacement part is found. Very easy to do with a phillips and a 10mm socket & wratchet.

Heater hose broke off at firewall.there is a plastic connector which I can't get off. it spins but does'nt back out.how do you remove this connector?

There is a removal tool to release plastic locking tabs at back near fire wall, I had the same problem with my 01 silverado I used a 4" piece of hacksaw blade held with vice grips and cut aluminum cover and pried it apart to release, be careful not to cut heater core tube.
