SOURCE: My Neon keeps stalling

Try the simple stuff first and ask yourself these questions:

How old are the spark plugs? (I think this is 90% gaurenteed the problem)

Is the car getting enough air through the filter?
Is the filter dirty? (replace if so)
If not you might need your idle advanced a little.

SOURCE: 2006 Dodge Ram 2500, A/C blows hot at idle &

i had the same problem in my 2003 Durango!!
turns out the auxiliary fan was not working!!
that fan should run all the time when the a/c is on!!
so start the truck, turn the a/c on and then go look at the aux fan (the plastic electric one attached to the radiator) and make sure it is spinning!!

What is the drive cycle for a 1998 dodge stratus that showed incomplete on emission test?

On most models, you need to drive 100 miles after the engine reaches operating temp. The drive needs to include both highway and city travel at various speeds.

2000 dodge stratus. Heater only works at idle, when driving at high speeds, heater blows cold and thermostat gauge goes to cold. Back flushed heater core, new thermostat any ideas?

I'd say you have a faulty thermostat, be it new or not. If your temperature gauge goes to cold as your engine is taking you down the highway, the thermostat is not doing its job. The temperature should never come down to below normal until engine is shut off...

Temp fine at highway speeds .. heats up at idle

Check your fan clutch- is it engaging when idling and at op temp if not then chances are the clutch is bad.
Replace your thermostat it's usually a cheap and easy fix
it just sounds like you have enough air going through into the engine compartment to cool it down but when you have no air going through at idle it heats up which leads me to believe it's something to do with the clutch fan or thermostat.
How much more does it heat up at idle as opposed to driving on the highway? check your thermostat ratings if possible i believe my firebird's thermostat is rated for 195 degrees. If the engine temp is exceeding the temp your thermostat is rated for then something else is going on.
Always look for the small things first and replace them if you need to before replacing anything big like the water pump which isn't too hard but is time consuming. Hope this helps. Good luck.

The heater in my 2004 dodge stratus doesn't blow out hot air while idling, but it does when driving. Could this be the thermostat?

Most of the time this (no heat at idle/heat when driving) is an indication of low radiator fluid. Check the fluid level while the engine is cold and on with the heater on high.

Why does my temp gauge fluctuate when i drive in town but stays level on the highway

When on the highway the wind blown through the grille naturally cools the rad coolant. While stuck in traffic the radiator fan will intermittantly cut in to prevent over heating, thus the fluctuations in the temp. gauge.

ck the coolant level, if low, top off and ck for leaks. then see if the heat comes back. if coolant level is good and engine temp guage is in the middle, flush heater core. if engine temp is too low, replace thermostat.
