Question about 2002 Toyota Camry
I got a new remote for my Toyota Camry 2002 Altise 2.4L. It cannot open the trunk. I was opening it with the key because I did not have the remote. Now I have the key activated for doors, but it does not open the trunk. Any solutions plz :))

I recently replaced the battery on my 2004 Toyota Camry. When I installed new battery the door locks will not stay unlocked once opened with remote. How do I reprogram?

SOURCE: I have a Toyota Camry
release lever either has a cable or an electric switch- usually cable- is pain to change but fairly cheap- buy a HAYES repair book- read first before buying parts- lot cheaper to keep using key- if i remember correctly cable runs underneath floor under car to rear an up over gas tank- like i said =pain to change

SOURCE: Inside trunk release won't open
1. Open trunk
2. Place latch in lock position
3. Pull inside trunk release to see what isn't moving
4. If trunk key won't turn, the key may be worn out and need to be replaced

SOURCE: 2002 Toyota Camry 3.0 6cy.
if your key does not open the trunk at the trunk location, there might be a lock located at the cable release on the floor by the left side of the driver seat-it is a 'valet' lock that disables the trunk lock. Otherwise, if you cannot unlock it at the trunk with a key, there may be a different key used for the trunk, or the lock itself may be damaged.

try spraying some penetrating lube into the lock cylinder of the trunk through the key hole. It's likely frozen from lack of use. Let the penetrating oil soak for 20 minutes and then try working the key back and forth gently and pushing it in and out every couple of tries.
