Question about Cars & Trucks
Could be your AIC air idle control, your TPS throttle positioning sensor, Air intake manifold gasket, weak fuel pump, or a good tune up. Can you keep it going, or it just doesn't idle? Does it start right away, or cranky starting? Is there any smoke? What color? Smell? Does it work differently after warm up? Has the car sat for a long period of time? Did the problem just occur or gradually occur? Also a long shot, but are gas stations putting ethonol in their fuel? Has a way of clogging filters up. Let me know how you make out and rate my solution please thanks

use a crab spray in the throttle body and clean the black carbon right before the intake of the throttle plate.
take off the intake tube and have someone else open and close the throttle with the engine off of course.spray all the black stuff aronud the throttle plate or butterfly plate and make it nice and clean in there.use a very clean cloth rag .
hope this helps.

First check the throttle body controls.Start with the Mass air flow sensor. Then your throttle position sensor. Its likely that one of these are bad.I am assuming that the engine has had regular tune ups so that is not an issue. If this has not had a tune up start with that then move on to my suggestions. You should also replace the O2 sensors if you have not already done so.
