That can be all kinds of things from vacuum leaks to air flow issues. . If it's not giving you any problems , then it doesn't seem to be hurting anything, but if you want to pinpoint the problem, you have to have it plugged into a computer and it will pinpoint the problem. You can buy such computer at Walmart for $100, or have a mechanic charge you $75-$100. I hope this helps, and if it's any help at all, My engine light has been on for 2 years now.
