Question about 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 Club Cab
While on the highway it started sputtering and lost power.it was'nt running hot ant the oil level and pressure were good. after it sits for a while it will run ok for a short time and then the same thing.i can get it to start and idle but when i put in gear and give it gas it dies.
You have a bad valley pan gasket, not very expensive to fix at all, it is located under the intake manifold, happened to me and almost everyone I know that has this truck, goodluck

Some cars cut off as a fail safe to overheating especially on newer cars. The computer controls the fans and if they are not working the computer is probably telling the car to shut off. Have you replaced the motors already, if not, this is what's happening. Once you replace the motors it should run fine. I wouldn't suggest driving it too much with this problem as it may affect the computer by giving it false info.
