Hi art , i think they are going to call it ride height in the alignment specs . front ride height would be 9.0" - 9.8" and that point of measurement would be taken at the rocker panel 23.5" back from the center of the front axel (center of tire) to the bottom of the rocker panel .and the rear height would be 9.05" - 9.85" , and that point of measurement would be 23.5" from the center of the rear axel forward to the bottom of the rocker panel .see pic

I just replaced the fuel pump on my 98 silverado z71 and the harness that came with the new pumps wiring is different. the old harness has four wires colored gray on b, purple and white on a, two black,...

I may not be of much help.
According to autozone online, 96-98 model trucks should have - -
gray from relay to the pump
black / white ground for pump
pink - black for gauge ground
pink to gas gauge
You should be able to jumper the pump relay and look for a hot for the pump. You should have two grounds, I doubt it makes much difference which you use for the pump. And then you should have a hot for the gauge with the key on and the relay disconnected.

I have the factory manual for a 96. 97 is

I suggest you pick up the manual for the 97-98 models. They are very different on interior designs and procedures. and i've seen many mechanics change the core without the dash completely removed, but typically it's more then 4-5 inches.

Trailer wiring

Hi Smokey,

I've got them for Six and Four wire plugs

Six wire plugs:

Horse, stock or utility trailers:
White = Ground - GD
Yellow = Left turn/Brake -LT
Green = Right turn Brake -RT
Brown = Tail and clearance lights - TM
Red or Black (not both) = Battery, aux power - A
Blue = Electric Brakes - S

Recreational Vehicle: (color, use, plug mark)
White = Ground - GD
Yellow = Not used -
Brown = Right turn Brake - RT
Green = Tail and clearance lights -TM
Black = Battery, aux power - A
Red = Left turn/Brake - LT
Blue = Electric Brakes - S

Four wire plugs:
White = Ground
Yellow = Left turn/Brake
Green = Right turn Brake
Brown = Tail and clearance lights

Ground should be 10ga.
Others 14 ga

Best regards
Mike
