Question about 1999 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner
What is the book answer for rpm's while idling? I'm traveling about 35mph at 1200 rpm's with my foot off the gas on a flat surface. And where/what is it a screw I turn or do I have to bring it to a repair shop to have done? I just bought this truck.
GO TO AUTOZONE AND HAVE THEM CONNECT THE COMPUTER. SAME THING WAS HAPPENING TO MY PRERUNNER. IT IS PROBABLY THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR. WHICH IS EASY TO FIX JUST TWO SCREW. ALSO CHECK THE HOSES, ESPECIALLY THE ONE THAT CONNECTS FROM THE MANIFOLD TO THE PCV VALVE. I TWISTED MINE FOR NO REASON AND THE RPMS DROPPED SIGNIFICATLY.

While the truck is parked and idling it should be between 900 and 1000
