Not a beginner thing to do
fuel in new cars under lots of pressure, can result in serious injury (death?) if not done right
fuel can hit with such force it can inject itself right through your skin into your body
have to depressurize the system, etc.
depending on vehicle, fuel pump can be in variety of locations
of course gas is hazard too with fumes, fire, etc.
if still determined to do, please use caution, wear goggles, be careful to depressurize fuel system first. be sure to disconnect battery first. put safety first, especially when working with fuel.

Is it hard to replace the water pump on a 05 dodge grand carvan ?

all depends if it has an external or internal pump. Internal pumps are in the timing cover and ran by tthe timing belt. External are not to bad to change. They are on the bottom of engine ran by an external belt.

Water pump

first you need to find out if the pump is internal or external. If external then you can do it. If it is internal then you will need to tear down front of motor which can be a job. depends on how much you know about working on cars.If internal pump you will need to set the timing again and in alot of cases you have to remove motor mounts remove pullies and on and on. can be a big job. most external pumps are not that hard to change.

Sudden power loss, replaced fuel pump and problem still not fixed

possibly it's your fuel injectors first check your fuel filter then fuel pressure and volume. Just a suggestion disconnect you battery and reconnect it is like hard booting you PC at home, might just reset your cars problem.

Thanks for your comment on the steering box. It's really hard to turn all of the sudden to the left, I literally have to put two arms into it... Try parallel parking... It's so tough! I had just had my...

Flushing fluid is fine I'd always recommended replacing with synthetic fluids which have higher sustainable operating temps and resist moisture. Sounds like there is some sort of **** (dirt/debris etc) that has gotten into the ps pump somehow and not letting the internal components from diverting the hydraulic pressure to turn the wheel to the left as you suggest. You will need to have your pump replaced. Not necessarily mechanic error to say you could have got dirt in it from merely checking fluid who knows.
