Question about 1990 Toyota 4Runner
I just bought this 4Runner from some people who didnt take care of it. Engine sounds great, tranny shifts great but after you run it for awhile it acts like it running out of gas. (i put gas in it so thats not the problem) The car sat for a couple years without being driven and when I bought it, it was absolutely on "E". I am surprised I made it to the gas station. I am thinking water and junk in fuel line so replace filter but if someone knows of problem that fits this please let me know. Also it was about 10 degree out for the last couple weeks before they fired this up to sell.
Im not a wiz or anything but you could just put some "heat" for the water and if the lines are clogged try some injector cleaner

The problem is most likely water. Water will pass through the filter just as easy as gas, so changing it wont help. You need to empty the gas tank completely and I mean like take the tank out dump the fuel and sediment and refill. cant do much about the water that is in the fuel rail and lines so your just going to have to put a little fuel in at a time and flush it out.
