take the rocker cover off and look om the cam bearing caos or for a flat slot on the end of the cam that has to be level with the heads

I have the same problem. The light has a detector/sensing module that often goes bad. The issue for me at the moment is the location of the module. I believe it is located under the dash not to far from the instrument cluster. I do not think it is a short in the wiring system, if it is then the lights won't come on and the fuse(s) would have popped. Hope this is helpful?
