Hi T, I'm guessing that your vehicle is diesel, as petrol should not give problems with air locks. Air can enter the fuel system from several places, so I suggest you check the following. The fuel line from the tank through to the filter housing. Replace the filter and if required, the complete filter housing. Check all the rubber and plastic piping for leakages, and lastly the injector pump. If there is an even misfire, you'll need to check, service and have the injector pump and injectors re-calibrated. Regards and happy new year John

SOURCE: 2000 dodge durango air pocket

You may have to run the engine with the filler cap loose until the thermostat opens at 195 degrees, then finish filling the radiator.
It can be very messy.

Front and rear blow little to no heat

If you know for sure the thermostat is working, it could be low on coolant and has air pockets in the system. Only one radiator hose should be warm until the engine reaches normal temp, and both heater hoses should be very warm.

2000 durango overheating when ac is on

Try to bleed the air from the cooling system if your antifreeze level is still normal. Sometimes air pockets withing the system get trapped near the temperature gauge and give a false reading. There should be an air bleeder valve that allows this to be done while truck is running. Also check coolant hoses for any blockages or cavitation. Hope this helps.

Passenger side blows hot air when front control set to Air

you cant adjust it ,this requires the dealers computer to re set it,or a phyiscal control has packed up like a vacumn pipe has split where it pushes onto the valve that controls the flap in the heater unit.
