SOURCE: trying to find where a ground wire connects to

Wire could go to rear of cylinder head. Going from the firewall to the master cylinder really does not make much sense as that assembly is bolted to the firewall and is grounded there. Generally most systems have multiple ground points, which is why you likely don't have any problems other than finding a home for that wire. On lots of vehicles I've owned, when there was a question about reliable grounding, I ran a 12ga or heavier wire from the battery to engine, firewall, dash and fenders, independent of all factory grounds. It's overkill, but I've never had a ground problem either!

On a 2004 chevy silverado where is the ground wire for the fuel pump?

They run that wire from the pump all the way to the front of the truck. If you're having a ground problem, cut it by the pump and run a new wire to the frame. If you're looking for the wire from the pump. Pull the harness that leads to the pump. Open it up. It is the black wire.

Put new after market rear bumper on my 2002 chevy Silverado 2500hd and my new license plate light has one wire and old light has 2 wire so I just connected the hot wire to new light and now my rear tail...

Check for that fuse in a fuse panel under the dash.
That second wire from the old light is a ground wire, whereas the new light's socket is case grounded if there is no ground wire for the light. If the fuse for the tail lights is good, check if the tail lights lost a ground .

1993 chevy silverado parking lamps go of when i turn on headlights, signal lights flicker when i press on brake.

Yes I would look for a ground circuit problem. I would look at the ground wires for the headlights first. Even run a new ground wire for the tail lights to see if it helps.
Could be a ground connection for the body to frame or body to battery.

Just put in a new fuel pump in my 97 chevy silverado. ran for one week. now it will crank but not start. could it be the fuel filters or the fuel pump relay

May be a faulty fuel pump. Sometimes the wiring on the fuel pump will loosen. Check the ground wire close to the fuel pump that connects to the chasis. Also check the ground wire on the rear of the vehicle on the right side next to the bumper mounting bracket.

Hello on a 2003 chevy silverado pick up truck 4x4

A bad ground or wire somewhere is pulling current from your battery when it's not running. Use a test light, try to find a circuit that is hot when it shouldn't be. It will take some time and patience.

I have a 1997 chevy silverado and I keep having a fuse blow that makes my hazzard lights and brake lights not work plz help me

If you have a trailer hook up, check that the wiring is not touching ground. Constant fuse blowing is an indication of a short to ground.
