Question about 1999 Pontiac Sunfire
Car seat moved forwards to allow backseat passenger to get in, but is now jammed at the front of its track. Will not move back at all. The mechanism seems to still work- can hear and see movement when pulling up the handle.
Normally the seat tracks are bolted to the floor or riser. It is possible that when the seat was moved forward the track moved over the head of a mounting bolt and will not return. check for interference between track and rail while trying to return seat.

SOURCE: 97 Grand Prix sunroof off track
My 97 Grand Prix sunroof tracks are offset. My driver side track is in the closed position, and the passenger side track is in a half open position. When the problem happened I was closing the roof and heard a hard clicking. It stopped working from that moment on. The tracks werent offset as much as they are now before I took the glass off. When I removed the glass, the passenger side track sprung back about 6 inches. The motor works, but the tracks only move about a half inch forward and backwards. Its cable operated and my guess is that one side jumped the track or a gear or something. Anybody help?

What you can try is to remove the shift cables from the transmission side. then move the shifter and see if everything is free if it's still sticks then the cables are going to be replaced. if everything is moving with the cable off. then you need to remove the shift tower on the tranny (where the shift cable is I belive it's 5 bolts) remove the tower and you will see the shift pin. Inside the tower there is a cotter pin that breaks and that will cause you to have one gear and unable to selected another gear. If you are not mech inclined I would no attemped the shift tower repaire, the cables do it will save you money. The shift tower has bushings that can fall into the tranny.

The evaporator drain is plugged with debris and filling up the heater case. Remove the 90 degree elbow and clear the drain hole at the case.(pencil or piece of wire) You will know that's it when it dumps out a half gallon on the floor. Be sure to reinstall the elbow to keep out rain/ road spray.
