Fuel pump is probably not working. Check your fuses and relays first. Then if all else fails drop the gas tank and replace the inside fuel pump.

Another thing to consider is... if it was an accident the fuel cutoff switch may have triggered and will need to be reset. It's worth a try...even a really rough jolt could have triggered it. Like a pothole or something. It is very common in most Blazers. Its located in the rear of the truck inside the panel of the wall. I think on the driver side but I could be wrong. Check it out. Hope you get it going without having to do too much work. The simpler the better. Diagnose the easy stuff first...jumping into a fuel tank drop job is no picnic.

Where is fuel filter on 2l petrol 06 kia magentis[auto]?is there short vid showing where it is?

most fuel filters are attached under the car close to or on the uni-body or frame, one easy way to tell is to follow the gas lines you see under the car.

The car starts but then immediatley turns off like its dead it does this everytime you start it

I would suspect a dirty fuel filter.Fuel filters can be in several different locations depending on the type of fuel delivery system - carburetor, Throttle body fuel injection, or Multi port fuel injection. Carbureted engines can have a fuel filter mounted to the carb, next to it, or downline in the fuel line. Throttle body fuel injection could have a filter mounted to the throttle body, inline under the hood or mounted to the driver side frame rail inside - usually located under the driver outside the vehicle or a little farther back toward the fuel tank. MFI typically just has the filter mounted to the inside of the frame rail driver side about 1/2 way between the motor and the tank. It would be a good idea to go buy a new filter first and take a good look at it - this will help you identify it once you've figured out where it is mounted. Asking the auto parts personnel where the fuel filter is located will help a lot. If they don't know then see if they have a manual in stock for your vehicle and ask to look at it. The manual will show you exactly where to find the fuel filter.
Hope this helps and please rate my solution!!

86 olds calais only starts if i pour fuel in throttle body fuel pump is working, is their a fuel filter by the throttle body or could it be a relay

The fuel filter is under the car, in-line. If the pump runs, it wouldn't be the relay. When you try to start it, can you see any gas spray from the injector? You could have a bad injector. Check for power going to the injector.

How do you get to the fuel filter in a 2000 chevy mote carlo?

The fuel filter is located under the vehicle, near the rear half of the car.
The system is also under pressure so be prepared to lose some fuel.
Follow the fuel lines under the body from the tank in the event your are still having trouble locating the filter.
You really can't miss it once you are under the car.
Good luck.

How do you change a fuel filter on a 97 dodge stratus

Fig. 7 Fuel Lines At Fuel Pump Module 42402626 NOTE: The fuel filter mounts to the frame above the rear of the fuel tank. The inlet and outlet tubes are permanently attached to the filter.
  1. Release fuel system pressure.
  2. From inside trunk, disconnect fuel pump module wiring jumper from main body harness.
    • The 4 pin connector is located under the trunk mat on the left side of trunk near the base of the shock tower.
    • Locate body grommet for jumper near base of rear seat. Push grommet out and feed jumper completely through hole in body.
  1. Remove fuel cap slowly to release tank pressure.
  2. With vehicle on a hoist, drain fuel from tank. Support fuel tank with a support such as a transmission jack stand.
  3. Position a fuel approved container, with a capacity of at least 16 gallons, under the drain plug located on the bottom left edge of the tank.
  4. Remove drain plug and allow fuel to drain. WARNING: Drain plug must be installed at this time as there will be 1 to 2 gallons of fuel left in the tank .
  5. When tank is no longer draining, install drain plug. Tighten plug to 32 in lb .
  6. Remove driver's side fuel tank strap.
    • Loosen, do not remove, passenger side fuel tank strap allowing fuel tank fill neck to touch rear suspension cross-member.
WARNING: Wrap shop towels around hoses to catch any gasoline spillage .

  1. Disconnect fuel lines from fuel pump module Fig. 7 . These are quick connect fittings.
  2. Disconnect fuel supply line from the fuel brake module.
Fig. 8 Fuel Filter 42402627
  1. Remove fuel filter Fig. 8 .
NOTE: The fuel supply (to filter) tube, return tube (to pump module) are permanently attached to the fuel filter.
  • The ends of the fuel supply and return tubes have different size quick-connect fittings.
  • The larger quick-connect fitting connects to the large nipple (supply side) on the fuel pump module.
  • The smaller quick-connect fitting attaches to the small nipple (return side) on the fuel pump module.
Apply a light coating of clean 30 weight engine oil to the fuel filter nipples. Install fuel tubes.
  1. Install fuel tank, filter and tank straps. Torque tank strap bolts to 23 Nm (250 in lbs) . Make sure pump module harness grommet is installed in body as tank is raised into position.
  2. Lower vehicle and connect pump module connector.
  3. Fill tank with fuel.
  4. Connect negative cable to auxiliary jumper terminal.

How to replace fuel filter on a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado C1500 5.7 Liter

On all C/K's of this body-type 88-98, the fuel filter is located under the driver's side door inside the frame rail near the crossmember that supports the tail of the transmission. Replace it with AC Delco part GF-626, FRAM part G3727, or other comparable brand corresponding metal bodied filter. You should use a flare-nut wrench for the line fitting and one for the filter fitting. I'm not sure of the size needed for the filter, but the line should be 5/8". For SFI engines ('96 and later) you need to bleed off the pressure in the line. Locate the pressure test port on the fuel rail under the hood, remove the cap, press valve to relieve line pressure and recap valve. If ground clearance is not high enough to get under vehicle and work, raise it with jack and rest frame on jackstands. * Caution: Fuel in lines and filter will run out once fittings are undone. Use fuel safe container to catch fuel spill. Take wrenches and hold filter from rotating, while loosening line fittings. Remove Filter from bracket by sliding and manipulating fuel lines for clearance, and slide filter out of bracket. Reassembly is reverse of disassembly. Tighten fittings snugly. Reconnect battery, turn ignition on (do not start). Pump will make brief whirring sound - less than 5 seconds. Check for leaks. No leaks - good. Now you can drive again.
