SOURCE: VW passatt warning lights staying on

Check the wires that are going to the brake pad sensors. Some shops will install pads that don't have the sensor connections on them, causing this light to stay lit.

SOURCE: boot will not close

It seems that you have a faulty switch. I can't be sure where it is on your car, but I believe that it is tied into the latch mechanism of the boot. It could also be located somewhere along the boot lid or the body where the boot and the body meet up. It will be a toggle switch about the size of a nail that you can press in and out

SOURCE: Low voltage warning light comes on and car died.

More than likely you have to bring it to the dealer to have your control module reset. When the battery dies unexpected some of the control modules will go in to what they call "sleep" mode. Sometimes you can take the negative battery cable and put it on the positive for about 10 min. It might wake the system back up. This does not work all the time but its worth a try before you bring it to the dealer.

BOOT OPEN but not open warning light on dashboard say this with red warning light

The sensor is located and probably built into the boot latch. The sensor is good because the light goes off if you close it slowly. the latch is just worn out with that particular part. Replace the latch. It is not hard to replace if you have a few hand tools.

The "Boot Open" message is displayed o my dash. The trunk lid is closed. The only way to open the trunk is with the key. The Key fob does not work nor do the switches inside the car or in the trunk lid...

Somethings for you to check......

If you open the boot and close the
boot latch (in the middle of the boot lid)with a screwdriver or
something does the boot light go off when you press the little
plunger for the boot light?
If it does not it may be the boot latch. It's also worth checking the
wiring loom on the right of the boot by keeping the boot plunger
pushed in with the boot latch closed as above and squeezing the
wiring loom in various places to see if the light goes off as it may be a damaged wire in the loom......

Also the plastic trim piece on the rear lower end of the
trunk (boot) is loose, the light comes on. It is held by 4 plastic
pins. When in place properly, no light, when loose, trunk open
light is on, even when trunk is secured.

Good luck

Trunk lid warning sign won't go off even though trunk lid is closed for 2007 Hyundai Sonata

check the deck lid latch to ensure the wire harness did not get pulled off somehow... That would be the only thing I can think could cause the boot ajar light to stay on.

Boot wont close at all

The latch may be stuck in the "open postion" you might try spraying some WD-40 on the latch. Try working the handle a couple times.

The door ajar light remains on which keeps my interior lights on in my 99 lincoln town car

Making an assumption that the TC and the F150 use the same door latch warning indicator.

If this is the case, spraying the door latch with WD-40 really well should cure the problem. Spray the latch, open and close the door a few times, and spray again.

The switch is part of the door latch on the F150, and this is the input sent to the warning system.

warning light is activated by a micro switch in the door latch, determining which one is the trick. easiest way to pinpoint this problem is to have the vehicle scanned by an experienced tech with the proper tools.

Door ajar warning light comes on and stays on even though all doors are secure.Sometimes the warning light goes out, only to go off again when car is locked 4 the night triggering car alarm. My guess is the...

switches are in the latch and you will have to start by turning the ignition key to on and then open and close each door. when you get to the door that doesn't make a chime sound when opened or closed. that is the door with the latch problem. you will need to replace the switch for that latch
