Question about 2000 Chrysler Concorde

Open Question

I have a 2000 concorde lxi 3.2. The problem I am having now is on the radiator fans or ecu. My radiator fan hasnt worked for a while ever since it was the main reason as to why my radiator and etc needed to be replaced this summer. currently running the fans on a switch to the battery. I am wondering if because the old fans i had one of the motors were dead maybe because its ran in series if that is why it affected the other fan. but heres the real BIG issues my brake light, abs light, and traction control are on. also my cruise control is no longer working. all these problems indicate a problem with the ecm/ecu (computer). But i am wondering if maybe there is some kind of circuit ran in sequence with each other to have these lights go off i do not remember if these lights appeared immediately after i had unplugged the no longer working radiator fans or not. I really would like this problem not to be the ecu/ecm because ive unfortunately found many complications come in hand with trying to use a used ecm/ecu things to with electrical features and alarm also the ecm/ecu is built off of a cars vin number. please need feed back thank you

SOURCE: car alarm preventing car from starting

Try removing the alarm system relay, some car alarm has also a fuse on the alarm that you can remove.
Many car alarms unlock by inserting and turning car key while you connect the battery.

SOURCE: car alarm preventing car from starting

1999 CONCORDE: check the battery terminals probably they are not tight enough...something like that happened to me just the lights turned on and the car seemed to be dead, the battery is still ok since then. I just needed to buy new terminals.

SOURCE: 2002 Sebring LXi Convertible Starter Motor Fuse Blown 2x

Starter solenoid. I don't have the page here but in chiltons a page shows the ignition to fuse to relay to starter and if you look closely it's quite basic. I had same problem with constant fuse blow #8. The solenoid over time wears and sometimes sticks. When it sticks, your system can overload thus burn fuse. I bet you never stalled out while driving, but only when you shut off and start somewhere it's a no go. That's because you're system is already engaged. I had to change starter as solenoid part of it all. I see others suffer this same problem so please share this around. Solenoid can stick for a millisecond.

SOURCE: Engine light and ABS traction control light remain

The ABS sensor is a speed sensor also for Traction Control. This is why both lights are on , One of your front ABS sensors are bad or disconnected, or has a pinched wire.

How do i change the alternator on a 2000 Chrysler Concorde lxi?

I have a concorde. Let me tell you its not easy to work on. The alternator is located just below the power steering pump. The power steering pump is attached to the power steering reservoir. To gain access you have to remove the metal plate that has the washer fluid bolted to it. It has alot of bolts. Then remove the radiator fans so you have more room to work. The engine has two belts. Once you get the belts off the alternator is attached by a metal plate just below the power steering pump. Once its loose remove it from under the car. Hope this helped.

I have a 2001 Chrysler concord Lxi 3.2 . I have had an over heating problem since I got the car so I have replaced the thermostat, water pump, cooling fans, radiator cap, radiator, and it still over heats....

You need to check For cooling fan operation. It may be a temp sensor problem (Fan relay signal) or a bad relay. A SIMPLE TEST would be to turn on the A/C, the cooling fan should run continuous in this position. The fan should run intermittently Relative to Coolant Temp. in all other positions. Check for voltage (14v ) at fan motor harness connector . If voltage is present at the fan motor connector then most likely a bad fan motor. The temp switch ( Fan Relay signal) is located in the thermostat housing or the radiator. This engine is prone to head gasket failure so do not overheat during testing procedures.

I have a 2000 Chysler Concord it is running hot.It was not running hot till it run in a pot hole and the transmission line got caught in the fan blade. The man that worked on it put a metal line back on it...

I would say your fan may have been damaged (and I dont see how it couldnt have been based on what you said happened). Even if it appears the fan is rotating its very possible its damaged enough that it is unable to pull the air through the radiator as it needs to.

2000 Acura TL overheating at low speeds with A/C on

Before ordering or installing fans I would buy and change your Coolant Temperature Senor on top of the engine block. It plugs in to the ECU and tells the fan when to kick the fans on. If that does not work you also have a temperature on the bottom of the radiator, known as your fan switch.

My 1998 Chrysler Concord LXi blast heat on high

Sounds like your blower control modular. It is located on the passager side floor under the dash. If you can find the blower motor and follow the wires back from it will lead you right to it (about half a foot away from it). It plugs into it. and has two screws you will have to remove to get it out. The two screws can be kinda hard to get to and you will have to get the modular from the dealer but if you can change it this should fix your problem.

Radiator fan on my 1994 toyota camry

there are actually 3 temp sensors. 1 is on the top of the engine that goes to temp gauge in dash has 1 wire. next to it is a 3 wire sensor for engine control and choke. on the bottom of the radiator next to the hose is a 2 wire sensor. loosen all 3 but leave connected. get engine hot past halfway point on dash gauge. with ac off disconnect 1 sensor at time. start with 2 wire under radiator. it takes the most abuse. fan will come on when you disconnect broken sensor. 2sensor must agree for fan to stay on till engine cools when turned off. note this is solution i used after verifying fuses, fuseable links and relays worked.WOO HOO! make sure you check both the fuse box under hood and fuse boxleft side of steering wheel my ECU fuse was inside my bros was outside.ECU B on my car goes to nothing and is under hood. Had it confused with ECU on wiring diagram.DOH!
