SOURCE: 2000 Chevrolet Malibu LS airbag problems

The passenger side airbag is a lot easier then driver side. Take the glove box out and you will see two 10mm bolts holding it in place. When you open the passenger side front door, remove the panel on the side of the dash and you will see yellow connectors. The 1 closest to the front is attached to the air bag, it is clipped into the frame. Just pull it loose and take it out and your done. For the Driver side, it takes a skinny T27 to remove the two star bolts, then just disconnect the horn red clip and ground and install new airbag. The module is located under the passenger seat, underneath the carpet. Kinda stupid but thats where its at. You also need to replace the front impact sensor located behind the grille on the back side of the metal bar to each side. Follow the hood latch down. Also just to make sure, you know to disconnect the battery before you do all this. You don't want new airbags to accidentally deploy.

You do not want to be messing with airbags unless you are well trained with them. You have a resistance problem indicting an airbag fault on the passenger side from what info I could find. That indicates in a crash that that airbag will not be functioning properly or at all. Find a professional as airbags are very dangerous if you do not know what you are doing.

How do I replace the airbags in a 2004 Hyundai santa fe

They just unbolt them from the back of the bag. You will also need to replace the Airbag diagnostic monitor module under the dash, it is a one time use module.

Service air bag

You will need a high end scan tool to retrieve trouble code and data from the airbag module. You could spend. Ore than $1,500 for this scan tool. Bring it in and pay the $100 to run the diagnosis. You will be money ahead.

an airbag isnt something to mess around with, if they are not powered down properly and something goes wrong when attemping to remove it they can still deploy. have a trained mechanic does this job.

2004 pacifica impact sensors, airbags

you may not always have to replace sensors, but you will have to change the airbag module (usually under front seat, sometimes in middle of dash) To remove the passenger airbag you have to take out the dash.

Airbag module location for 2004 Mazda6

it is positioned in the very centre of the dash board, behind the radio/Air con unit, it is bolted to the floor, you will need to remove the dash board and possibly the air con unit to access. once the module and air bags have been replaced it shouldnt need anything else.
