Blower motor when i turn on my car the heater wont work but when i drive down the road if i hit a bump it turns on and i hit another bump it turns off. How do i fix this or go about finding the blower motor I had the same problem with the fan for heat only when I hit a good puddel of water the fan dies down and then gives out. I replaced the Resistor /Resistance in Nov. 2007 it worked fine. The same thing happend again in Nov. 2008 and after one slushy puddel the fan is out again. Do I have Hole/Crack some where or is the Resistor/Resistance replacement pc. really that bad. Help my brother is going to work on it tomrrow 1/20/09

I had the same problem and replaced the blower motor . it is located up under the glove box . and I test the old one and it would run fast if i shook it .the bearing or something wears out in them . I got one from a wrecked car for 20 verses 78 new . and it works fine . john

The heater fan dose not come on some time when driving hit a bump on the road it comes on .

Most likely the blower motor has excessive wear and the brushes which contact the armature are contacting more than one pole at a time, hence the intermittent failure. Hit a bump, or hit the motor, and it'll suddenly come on... Pretty typical really.

My blower motor works intermittantly, if i hit a bump in the road it may go on or turn off

hi, there a few things to check. is the fuse loose. or the heater motor connection loose. the trouble is the heater motor is normally in the middle of the dashboard. but sometimes if you take out the glovebox it maybe behind that. check fuse first. gerry

The A/C blower just stopped when I hit a bump in the road. I checked all the fuses and relays and all were good. Help

It is likely the blower motor is bad, turn the key on,and the blower on high, bump the blower motor with your hand,if it starts working, replace the blower motor,if it does not, then look at the back of the fan switch to see if the connector is burned,if so,replace the switch and the connector,If this is at all helpful, please rate, thank you.

Blower motor

I say it might not be the blower motor but your on the rite track!good place to start sounds like a loose wire check under hood on passenger side to see if your blower resistor speed switch is plugged in or it might been in passenger feet area above toes in heater box! I think passenger feet area might be the spot your looking for! a v shape plug! i think you will find it no problem!hope this helps
