Try jumping the starter solenoid (between small terminal and the positive side) to see if it starts, if so replace selenoid; if not check to see if small wire is hot(someone will havfto hold the key in start position for you); not hot got broken or blown fuse some where.

The temperature blend door actuator is located on the right side of the transmission hump under the evap. case. The floor ducts cover it.

haynes manual will tell you how to replace the switch, in the column, as I think that is what you are referring to. your parts store will have that.
