have your manifold gasket checked i think you may have it blown out if its coming from the engine compartment chances are its the manifold gasket being blown out on it and it will make it sound like an airplane too i forgot about that. a friend of ours has a truck that does that and its got the same sound

2002 dodge durango left turn signal works right turn signal does not

have you checked the bulbs front and back. to see if they work, bulb check. then it sounds like you might have a bad signal flasher that only works the left side and not the right side. or if a bulb at the front or the rear gets bright but not the opposite bulb on the same side then you may just have a bad bulb or socket or power to the socket when doing the bulb check.

My 2000 Dodge Durango sounds like an airplane as I accelerate while driving on the highway.

Check the flow of exhaust out of the tailpipe. If flow is not good, then the catalytic converter, if so equipped, could be plugged up causing the 'jet' sound you hear on acceleration.

02 Durango: loud engine/exhaust sound. Also Recently noticed the cooling fan running more than normal; had someone check the antifreeze/ was empty....had them put in a 50/50mix of coolant and...

That noise is probably the air injection system which is part of the emmision system. When it is making that noise, open the hood and determine where it is coming from, note if it is a mechanical sound, etc. The air injection if equiped would sound almost like forced air scaping somewhat like an exhaust leak, but less intense.

2002 dodge durango front blower not working? can not locate a relay or fuse. read that there is a switch under passanger side, is it the size of a credit card?

sounds like a blower motor resistor. It is located on thr passenger side, about where the passengers toes would be. It is held there by two 8mm screws. But slide the red tab toward the driver, press the black tab and remove wiring harness. then remove screws with a 1/4 inch ratchet and a 7mm or 8mm socket. Replace old resistor with new. Attach harness. BE CAREFUL these things get hot which is why they burn up so fast. Wait at least 30 minutes after driving before working on it. If you have any problems replacing, go to YAHOO and type in "Replacing a Dodge Durango Blower Motor Resistor" Good Luck and Hopes this helps!
