Have you checked for continuity from the fuel pump fuse to the pump do this with the ignition off, you may have a break in the live cable, or take a voltmeter and check voltage at the pump.

SOURCE: how to remove relays from the fuse/relay block on a 2000 Blazer?

There is no release, you just pull up on the relay with a little bit of rocking back and forth. You can use a pair of pliers to get a better grip, but be very gentle and do not crack or warp the relay cover, they are very brittle.
Good luck, let me know.

They should be on seperate circuits. Tyour key on and ck to see if you have any fuel flow. Fuel pumps in tanks do **** out. chk to see if you have any fuel flow by loosening a fluel line. No fuel, no pump. good luck

Where is the bump switch located

If you mean the inertia switch that shuts off fuel in the event of a crash, that is a Ford only part-no others have them.
Does your fuel pump turn on for 2 seconds, with key on, not start? If no, check the ECM-B fuse (20 amp) in the power distribution box by left (driver's) fender. This fuse sends power to the fuel pump relay, also in the distribution box.
To verify a bad fuel pump, check for power on the pump wire at the fuel tank connector with the engine cranking over. It is a gray wire. It should also have that 2 second signal with key on. But with engine cranking over, it should be a steady power signal. If power is on the wire, before condemning the pump, check the fuel pump ground. If ground is good, the pump will have to be replaced.
If pump is working and you have pressure up to the injectors, you will need to check the injector circuit. Post back with what you find.

Not getting fuel to the engine on my 2001 chevy blazer

you must be getting fuel, remove fuel line @ engine, have someone crank the engine, then you'll know, NO SMOKING ! if no fuel, check fuel pump relay ! check all fuses . pump should hum for only 2 seconds, when key is turned to ON position. to prime the system. always check all ground wires to fuel system. important ! good luck

Hi i have a 90 chev Blazer have no power to the pump replaced pump ,relay ,madual, checked fuses, put gas in carb will start, turn key on cant hear pump

If all the parts you replaced are known to be good, then you will need to get a voltage meter and start checkin where the power stops at. Check both sides of the fuse to make sure your getting power to the fuse and to make sure it is good, the on to the relay, if it clicks when the key is turned on then it is good or on some models you can swap the horn relay to double check to make sure it is good, if your relay is clicking then check the wiring to the pump itself and locate where the voltage stops. You might very well have break in the wire to the pump or a bad ground on the pump itself.

I have a 1999 chevy blazer and it will turn over but wount run.

These trucks are famous for this. First start by checking the fuel pump fuse & relay their is 2 one is located in engine compartment and one in the fuse panel inside the car car. The relay is located in the glove compartment if this is all good go under the car by the fuel tank and have someone turn the key to the start position but not crank it you should hear a slight humming noise if you do not check wiring connections to fuel pump if wires are all good check for power by the fuel pump connection plug make sure you have power there, you will only have power their for a few seconds. If it starts you will have constant power but only if it starts. If you have power and no humming noise your going to need to replace your fuel pump. Its in the tank $1000.00 at the dealer to have it replaced and its about $400.00 for aftermarket one to have it replaced unless you can do it yourself.
Pumo cost about $$200-$300 for the after market part.

I'M HAVING FUEL SYSTEM PROBLEMS ON A 2000 CHEVY BLAZER. I HAVE POWER RUNNING TO THE RELAY BOX, AND TO ALL RELAYS AND FUSES EXCEPT THE FUEL PUMP RELAY

Could be that the fuel pump relay is bad, have you switch out the fuel pump relay with another relay of the same specs. If that doesn't work, then check if there is another fuse that related to the fuel pump, could be like those fuse under your kick box panel if it is blown. If not, you could have bad fuse box.

I have no power to fuel pump. replaced the pump and the fuel relay switches

the relay gives the pump power for 2 seconds at key on, then when the engine is running, the oil pressure switch supplies power. make sure all fuses are good.

My 1995 chevy blazer will not start. While replacing the fuel filter I noticed that the fuel pump did not seem to be working. Should I check relays before replacing the pump?

Hey Longshot,

Absolutely. They are normally in with the engine compartment fuses. When you find it, either switch it with one of the others or jump the Common and Normally Open leads.

The pump should engage when you turn the key On for the former.
The pump should engage immediately on the latter.

This will tell you only if the relay is good or bad.

Check the fuse under the dash. Did you replace the inline fuel filter? If not, you could loosen the line going into the filter then turn the key to the on position. The pump should run for about 2 seconds then the relay should kick off. Turn off the key for approx. 5 seconds then cycle key back on and the pump should cycle again. If you get a 2 second burst of fuel each time then the pump is cycling. Install a new fuel filter and check the grounded wire by the tank. Hope this helps. :)
