Question about 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
Airbag light is ON intermittantly. Dealer says seat belt pretensioner needs replacing. $350 for part $450 total installed. Can I fix this myself? How?
If the air bag light is on this is how I fixed it it was a broken wire going to the seat belt in the driver side rear door in my ext cab truck there is a black rubber flex where the wires run from the body to the door. If u pull on the rubber flex from the body and the door you should see wires on both side of the flex pull on the wires one at a time mine was broken in the middle of the flex then I pulled a new Wire in the flex and spliced it at both ends

yes the evap and fuel injection flush service are 2 diff things, replace the evap solenoid and clear the code, also make sure the vent on the carbon canister is clear.

SOURCE: engin light is on
the check engine light can come on for any number of reasons mostly emissions related problems. the first step is to identify the code responsible for the light. there are many auto parts stores that will scan the vehicle free of charge for you. i suggest that first.

Working on the SRS can be very hazardous. For this reason I suggest you have this done by a professional. I would for sure get a second opinion on this.
