check the fuel pressure to determine that the fuel pump is still good. there should be a schrader valve with a plastic cap on it on the fuel supply line that goes to the throttle body or if you have one fuel injector per cylinder, you will have a fuel rail that feeds each injector that will have the schrader valve that you screw the fuel pressure tester on. most fuel injection systems run 30 to 40 psi, but check a service manual or call a dealer to get the correct psi for your vehicle. if the fuel pressure is within specs, it sounds like the MAF (mass air flow) sensor is the culprit.

Replace throttle position sensor in 2011 Chevy Malibu 4 cyl.

If you had the job done at a garage, take it back. You paid good money for a part that wasn't bad. Lets take yours for instance..A TPS code. Probably read from a code reader. Replace the TPS and still have the code. There are 3 things to check for any sensor, any code. The sensor, the wiring , and the computer/PCM. A code reader only gives you a place to look, NOT the solution..

How do I change the throttle position sensor in my 1999 chevy mailbu?

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove intake tube from throttle body. Locate tps, unplug it, remove the 2 screws holding it on and take it off. Make sure throttle is closed and install new sensor. These screw strip out easy so start them with your fingers then tighten them. Plug it back in, install intake tube, and connect battery and your good to go. Also this would be a good time for a pm on the throttle. Get some intake cleaner and a tooth brush and clean any dirt out of the throttle body. Good Luck.

Dtc code p0121 and p2135 2007 chevy malibu

both codes refer to the throttle position sensor, the sensor is at the throttle plate, on the side of the throttle body. to test remove the connector to sensor, use a ohms meter to test. put 1 lead to top connection and the other to the bottom one. move throttle and the needles on the ohms meter should move very even, move throttle slow to get a good reading, needle should move without no hesitation, if the test is bad replace tps sensor. if the sensor gets to bad, it can have an effect on transmission shifting. after fixing sensor have the light turned of with an obd2 scanner.
