U will need to replace the power seat transmission, the gears are most likely stripped out, not uncommon, this part is $800 so i would suggest u try to locate a used one.

the switch has failed or a combination of the switch and motor. the switch will be the easiest to replaace as you will have to remove and on some vehicle partially disassemble the seat to do the motor. The switch os mounted on the plastic panel which is held to the seat usually by 2 - 4 screws.

The motor and gears in the track are getting stuck.Either a weak motor or gears stuck.
Try this procedure as follows;---
Have somebody sit in the back and push the seat forwards at the frame while
you push the button forwards.Don't push at the headrest but as low as possible
To avoid getting stuck again don't put the seat all the way backwards, just
move it forwards ahead to get the tension of the track/motor. -------- But if the seat get pushed forward but if its still doing the same then its weak motor and it has to be replaced. But if its not getting pushed forward to its last. Then its bent tracks from which the seat moves. The tracks needs to be checked from which the seat moves back and forth.
The owners manual says about power seats. "It states that if the power seat doesnt't work, put the seat back section of the seat down to it's lowest position a couple of times. This somehow resets the body module for the driver seat." ---------------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.
