Check for a bad ground from battery to engine. Then check the module inside of the distributor cap. It should be a black crescent shaped unit about three inches long that all the wires plug into.

My 98 chevy blazer just got a new fuel pump and filter. Wont start even with starter fluid into the throttle body. Any ideas?

If it's a gasoline engine, please check for sparks at the spark plug end. If it's a diesel, check pre-heating system. Starter fluid in the throttle body must be ignited by the spark plugs. For diesel, pre-heating is necessary to ignite the fuel.

not knowing the condition of you suv, replace fuel & air filters, very important, replace distributor cap & rotor, spark plugs & plug wires. that should do it, good luck

Turns over wont start

with that year and model it is not uncommon for bad spark plugs to allow the car to turn over but not start. I would start with replacing the spark plugs and go from there. Thats the cheapest and most likely solution. If that still doesn't work you may need a new fuel pump and last I checked for that year chevy is $500 plus dollars and a pain in the rear job to do as it is in the fuel tank

1999 chevy blazer not starting

Check the plug wire from the ignition coil to the distributor cap.
If you haven't already, replace the distributor cap and rotor.
The GM Vortec's have issues with moisture getting inside the cap and rotor and causing problems.

Blazer wont start

You are getting good spark to the plugs? Have to assume you retimed it after you changed the rotor and cap. Wires are good?

Could be the ignition module, but they usually are either good or bad and not itermittent(sp)...

If it trying but just not 'catching'.. seems like a timing issue, or possibly the coil (although coils tend to be good or bad as well)

Battery wont charge I bought a new battery and new altenator. 1991 chevy s-10

Make sure you have power to the post with the 10mm nut on it.If you do then you only need to have power to the "L" terminal to make it charge. If you don't have power either replace the bulb in the dash or run your own keyed power wire to it.
