Yes, Yes, Yes, and Yes, Replace that Pump and Line to get rid of the Leak. Put WD-40 in the Cable. Those Wheels can be found at Classic-Chevy-Parts.com Call and ask them, They have a Truck section too and Ship Everywhere! They are right here in OKC.

What causes strong petrol smell in cabin of Ford Ka?

Most fuel smells inside the vehicle are the result of leaks in the fuel system. Have all fuel lines and injectors/seals inspected for leaks/seepage

My fuel pressure goes to 60 pounds when the keys is turned on then starts dropping Is it my fuel pump or pressure regulator? 2004 GMC Yukon XL

Fuel pressure may drop due to a leaking injector or bad check valve in the fuel pump itself. The regulator does not come into effect until the engine is running and a vacuum supply is produced to it. If the regulator is leaking internally, it could send fuel back to the tank as well. Prime the fuel line and pinch off the return line ( if possible ) to eliminate a regulator problem. If the fuel pressure drops with the return line pinched off, suspect a leaking injector or fuel pump. If injector is leaking, the vehicle should run rich and cause a hard start/rough run condition

I have a gas smell in rear on ford taurus sometimes

first after your car has been sitting over night move it then look at the driveway where it had been sitting if you see fresh fuel then look under the rear of the car to see if you see any fuel dripping,if you do get your car somewhere to get a mechanic look at as soon as possible..

Vacuum leak sort of sound coming from the general area of the vacuum booster on my 1981 Ford F-150 w/ 300"six cylinder and 4sp. It stops when I apply the brakes fully.

check the hose and the rubber around the vacuum booster the best way i found a leak was to
take a 3ft peace of fuel line and put 1 end up to my ear and take the other end and probe
around the motor or ware ever i could here a vacuum leak you don't have to use fuel line any hose will do

i hope this helps you

Fuel is leaking or being forced out of the tank had a recent fuel pump replaced is it possible to have a leak after such a procedure

yes very very possible the fuel lines probably are very rusty and/or brittle and when disturbed to replace pump can develop a leak also any connections where the lines hook to tank can leak or could be top seal on tank where pump goes into tank(top seal usually only leak on a full or near full tank)

I would unplug the parking brake switch and see if the light goes out. The erratic idle indicates a possible vacuum leak, check carefully around the throttle body mounting. Since it sat for a long time the throttle body gasket may be leaking. Check the intake manifold for tightness too. You probably replaced the PCV valve already. Leaking head gasket, may want to do a compression test. I did some checking and unfortunately your mileage may not be that far off, I got a wide range of fuel mileage ratings from 11mpg to 14mpg. That being said, a malfunctioning emissions system or restricted exhaust could cause excessive fuel consumption. Any chance a rat climbed in your tail pipe and built a nest? Ha Ha Ha. You haven't mentioned any check engine lights being on, still there could be an emissions system problem.

1981 Toyota Hiace (18R) Charcoal canister leaking petrol.

This sounds overfilled to me. Liquid should not get to the canister, only vapors, look for exactly what separates and stops liquid fuel, somewhere along the vent line... Sometimes on top of fuel tank.

BUT, it sounds like you are seriously overfilling. Gas comes out of the ground cool, then heats up in your tank. Put much less fuel in gas tank.

Fuel no longer lubricates anything, so no issue with full time LPG, but starting is commonly an issue, and most designs start with gas and cross over automatically to LPG, after warmed up.

Low fuel pressure

Remove air filter and unplug the mass air flow sensor and try again. if i cranks clean the MAF. check sensors for skewed readings that won't set codes but will upset computer.
