SOURCE: Coolant filling up overflow bottle

You may need to ask AAA to put a radiator pressure tester on the resevoir bottle and pump it up to operating pressure(Pressure cap rating) and see if it over pressurises while it is running at operating temp, rev engine up and down and watch what the testers pressure readings do,it should move up and down in sync with the water pump.If the pressure keeps building i would have to believe that combustion chamber gases are over pressurising your cooling system. Also test the pressure cap is functioning within factory specs.

SOURCE: why is my 6.0 ford diesel blowing coolant out

There is a possibility it is overfull. Ford put out a TSB which lowered the hot full level on the recovery tank about an inch. These recovery tanks also have had a history of developing pinholes and cracks on the top side that sometimes appear to be leaks from the cap. If you do not find a remedy with the tank itself, there are tools that can be used to check for combustion gasses in the cooling system. If you find combustion gasses in the cooling system, have the EGR cooler pressure tested before pulling the heads. If you do have to pull the heads replace the headbolts with ARP studs and nuts.

Any one know 4by4 Mitsubishi triton no codes cranks need help urgent

the tachometer ( rev counter) get its impulses from the ignition system or in the case of a diesel from the crankshaft position sensor
if it runs with introduced fuel ( dangerous for a diesel) but then dies, that indicates insufficient fuel pressure to the injectors
could be a diesel pressure pump ( test to 25,000 psi) not producing sufficient pressure to work injectors
problem fuel supply to pump, tank venting, filters , air in system etc

How many speed sensors does a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero limited have?

No idea why fixya keeps sending me questions about a 2002 Montero (Pajero). I have never owned one. I did own a 2005 Pajero diesel turbo but sold that in 2014 and now own a 2014 Triton.
Sorry I cant answer your question.

Pathfinder turbo diesel, 135,000 k using excessive coolant but no sign of coolant in oil and no oil contamination of coolant. Radiator pressure tests fine and coolant gas test is clear. No sign of coolant...

Out the exhaust, unless a small amount of coolant
is going into the transmission

Have to use an exhaust gas analyzer at the exhaust
tail pipe or coolant fill cap or over flow container

You got a failed head gasket or worse, a crack that opens
up whenever it wants to

Coolant loss, no puddles on ground, no steam from exhaust, engine runs fine, no water in oil, no split hoses heater working ok diesel turbo 130bhp

Hi. You should replace your radiator cap. As soon as the temperature is high the pressure in the radiator is to much for the faulty cap and water is lost while the engine is running. It will not leak while switched off. Hope this will solve your problem.

I have a mitsubishi galant turbo diesel, engine 4D68, model 2000 since 3 years ago has a problem in the cooling sistem. It runs out of water in the radiator that go the expantion tank, that water doesnt...

Sounds like a suction problem between the cap which acts as a valve and when pressurized allows coolant to go into the reservoir but lack of suction not sucking it back in when it cools down but you say you got a new cap.

I'd look for a leak in the cooling system and make sure you daily check radiator while cold and remove cap and make sure coolant is topped off. Recap.

A good idea is make sure you don't have air pockets in the coolant lines. Easiest way to get rid of is park aimed uphill, let car cool off, take cap off, put a funnel that fits right into the radiator cap to hold coolant that will rise and run the car for a few minutes. Recap properly
