Question about 1995 Dodge Ram
Try redirecting it to a hard wired port that is putting out less than 80 watts and see if it is an in line transformer type amplifyer . i replaced my front speakers on mine when i put a new head unit but i do remember seeing those i had no idea what they did either but try that and see what happends
