In -31* . I have charged up my battery and it is now fine, but I don't seem to be getting any thing out of my starter not even clicks. It,s either jammed or has failed totally. Is there anything on-line that has instuctions on removing the starter or to trouble shoot.
Hi!
Please click the site HERE. That will give you instructions on how to replace the starter. Good luck!
You can talk to honda mechanics on their website i believe but you may want to just take it into the shop to have it tested it may be a cheap fix so you dont end up losing alot of money a wire could just be lose or ignition broken hope this helps you
Welcome to Fixya! Yes, This is the Starter and the Starter Solinoid. You can Purchase a New starter that has the New Solinoid on it already. The starter is not hard to change out. Just remove the 3 or 4 Bolts and it will drop with a little pulling. Reinstall the Same way. Disconnect the Battery BEFORE you start or you will get a JOLT! The Starter is on the Bottom of the Motor, Which side depends on the Motor that You have. Just look.
If you can get to the starter try crossing it with a screwdriver...if its bad it wont turn over if its good it will and your problem wil be elsewhee
Yes, here is a link that will help you change the starter.

Have someone attempt to start the car while you smack the starter with a hammer... if it starts... replace the starter as it is failing
