Put in a new bulb. That will tell you if the bulb is bad. If it doesnt light up after that your not getting elect. to it.

My right headlight (low beam) is out. How do I change the bulb?

Open hood, on left side of vehicle behind the light fixture look for white nylon clips that just lift
Pull up about 1.5" and they come free from the fixture. At this point the entire light assembly can be moved forward. Disconnect the wiring harness and the whole fixture comes out allowing you access to all the bulbs.
Reverse process to reassemble

Brake light passenger side is out. After changing the bulb, will not light. Wires look in good shape, not corrosion or breaks. While putting the fixture back into place, quickly came on then went off...

The problem is suspected to be the 'contacts' at the base of the bulb socket/holder/fixture - poor contact. If the contact point overheated and it melted (then 'sank' into its holder/fixture, then replace the bulb socket.

The brake light on the driver side will not light up. I've changed the bulb, but it's not the bulb. I drive a 2001 ford explorer. Thanks

I use to have that year explorer and when I replaced mine, I removed the whole assembly and found the wire connections to the light socket all corroded. I would first remove the whole fixture and check behind it for a bad wire or connection before going further. If the wheel-wells behind the rear wheels are rotted at all, then water & dirt are slung up into the rotted area hitting the back of the light assembly.

How to change the low beam lightbulb. I figured out where it is... but need to remove the whole fixture.. how do it do it?

Look it over, get involved and remove whatever screws hold it to the body/fender etc. Most screws are Torx type fastners. No torx sockets or driver bits, your done before you start. Torx have been on veh for 25 years.

Removing the head light from a 1997 pathfinder

I replace my head light bulbs recently and it was easy.
I think that you might have to replace the whole head light assembly in order to replace the glass.
Hope this helps. I found the answer in the drivers hand book under light bulb replacement.

Driver side headlight bulbs burned out on 2003 VW Golf

There is a light cover in front of the battery... take this off and then look for the metal clamps holding the light housing in.  (I say clamps, but they're more like glorified paper clips on either side of the fixture.)  Press in on each side, pushing the clamps towards each other and pull the fixture out.

Over head shop light

Yes this is what they call a ballast transformer, it is easier to just replace the whole fixture.

PT Cruiser Brake Light

The bulb in the rear light has burned out and to replace it follow these instructions: 1) go to your owner's manual to find out the part number. You can find and purchase the replacement bulb at Target, any auto parts store and even at Walmart for under $4.00; 2) pop open the trunk door; 3) get a phillips screw driver and unscrew the 2 screws holding the rear brake light fixture to your car body; 4) as soon as you turn over the fixture you'll see where to pull out the burned out bulb and replace it with the new one(s). Good luck!
