If battery light flashing check alternator output or check the alternator drive belt make sure drive belt no too loose.if you see abs brake light flashing not getting enough power to work.if alternator okay have braking system check if fluid level okay the abs brake mastercylinder could be failing have garage check it out.with vechicle idling check alternator output at battery should be 13.5 - 14.5 volts if you see 11.0 volts alternator could be faulty.use digital voltmeter.

My 1991 Corolla's battery and brake warning lights came on simultaneously and would not turn off. The car otherwise starts and continues running with no issues. Needing expert advise.

Never assume that two lights coming on is something more than it is.
You have a problem with your charging system.
You have a problem with your brakes.

The fact the car runs without issues is reasonable to expect. You can run a car with a brake problem. You can run a car with a battery charging problem with no problems until the battery becomes flat.

First check your brake fluid reservoir. There is a float and sensor that tells when the brake fluid is too low. Just top it up.

If that is OK, the disc pads have wear sensors. Yours may be getting thin.

With the battery light, you need to check that the alternator is pumping out 13.5 volts using a test meter. If it isn't check for a slipping belt. If that seems ok, go to a tire, battery and exhaust place for full diagnosis.

Light for brake on

The red brake light is a visual indicator of what could be any of a number of problems with your brake system. Even though the service brake action feels OK, you should have system checked to determibe the cause of the indication and correct the problem(s)

1996 Ford Windstar 3.8L, Brake light is on-brakes work fine

Abs light on means the ABS sytem has a fault.
You can determine what is wrong by counting the flashes (they say) and then put the data in on the web.

IE abs, windstar, failure, 3 flashes.

The brake light on is most likely picking up on uneven brake pressure, or a failing master cylinder/
You may not feel any difference yet, give it a little time, feel for a pedal fade at a light.

Escort ghia st 1994 problem no brake lights working but bulbs and fuses ok

There could be two reasons for this problem of yours.
1. The connections have gone off from the brake pedal switch.
2. The brake pedal switch itself if out.
Open the hood and locate the switch. At the out of the switch connect a wire from the positive of the battery. The brake lights should come on. If the do then the connection is fine and the switch is faulty.
If the lights dont come on then the switch MAY be OK and the wiring faulty (unlikely as from here the wiring has to go to two sides and both could not have gone off simultaneously).
So I feel it is the switch that is at fault and should be changed if confirmed so.
To check the switch connect the same wire to the in of the switch and press the brake pedal. if the lights come on then the switch is OK else not.

Chevrolet Equinox Brake Light Flashing

If it is an amber light that says " anti lock" You will be safe, you just wont have anti lock brakes. The car may have traction controll. If so, look in the manual to be sure what light is on. As a general rule amber lights are warnings and red lights means stop. If the light stays on you will have to go to the dealer to have the code read.
