The advantage of a Torx screw is that it prevents cam-out and increases manufacturing efficiency. The screw does not slip out of the fastener until a particular torque level is reached. This unique feature also increases the Torx screw's life ten-fold. The reduced time, effort and cost spent in tooling translates into cheaper products for the consumer.

Removing body panels

Vw's are a bit complicated. Generally though, there are up to 5 Torx T25 screws in the wheel splash guard just behind the bumper. There might be one hidden up near the corner what the bumper corner meets the fender. Down by the fog light covers (usually behind it) are more torx screws. Underneath the bumper are about 4 more torx screws, but these are often machine threads like bolts. You will need to probably find the few screws holding the top of the grille in and remove them also as there are two torx bolts behind the corners of the grille. The bumper should note be able to slide of the guides below the fenders. Good luck and be careful when yanking and prying on plastic parts.

The hazard light switch broke and my hazards won't quit flashing tired sticking two screws in there now blinkers don't work

At this point you will need to replace the multifunction switch. It looks like used may be a good option for your vehicle. This is a relatively easy part to replace. You will need a couple TORX sockets but other than that its pretty straight forward once you remove the column covers.

How to change a throttle position sensor on a 2007 yukon xl

There are only two screws on most TPS Sensors

Either a T20 Torx head or a small Hex & of coarse
the wire connector

A Code for that or any sensor, doesn't mean or tell you
to replace it.
Codes are used along with reference material & diagnostic
charts,to decide what & how to test things

Nothing ever gets replaced, that is not understood or
has not failed a test

To do so otherwise, is the Push & Poke,Wish & Hope
Diagnostic theory, of throwing parts at something, thus
learning nothing.

You may have to use a hair dryer to soften the threadlocker on the screws

Power window do not work

the two plastic covers that hide the Torx screws. Once you gently pry off the plastic covers with a flat head screwdriver, use a Torx T-27 screwdriver to remove the two screws. If your Torx T-27 screwdriver is not magnetic, expect the screws to fall down into the bodywork. You can get them later once the panel is off. you can see the Torx screw that is hidden behind the plastic covers. Once you get those screws out, pry up the master window switch by lifting it up from the back end where there is a clip holding it in place. The top of the switch by the power mirror control is held in place by a plastic piece that is delicate and will break if you're not careful

Remove all the connectors from the underside of the driver's master window switch by pushing on the tabs with a flat head screwdriver and gently rocking them out. Then you can pull off the door panel by exerting outward pressure on the door handle and pulling with your fingertips at the gaps that form around the panel. The panel is held in place by plastic clips. If you have never removed the panel before it might take you a few minutes to get a hang of it. The clips will look slightly messed up once they're out but you can always buy new ones at any auto parts store or just re-use them. Some of the clips may have remained on the car in the metal. Just wiggle them out with your fingers or a pair of needle nosed pliers.from this point you cam see wireing motor of window replace motor if needed

High beams do not work

It is most likely the mulitfunction switch (turn signal switch) in the steering column. It's not too hard to replace as the steering wheel doesn't need to be removed. Take the covers off from around the column behind the steering wheel by removing the 3 screws with a torx bit. This will expose the switch which is held on with a couple torx screws also. Unplug the three connectors and then put the new part in. This is a common problem with Fords.
Hope this helps! :)

What tools would be needed to replace a throttle position sensor on a 1995 Oldsmobile Silhouette 3.8 V6 van?

The two screws and the electrical connector are all that need to come off the TPS to remove it. I dont know of any other componants that you need to remove to get to it. The screws are either a 7mm socket or a T15 or T-20 Torx bit. It is normally on the backside of the throttle body, so on the van you'll have to "crawl-in" to reach it.

The TPS only goes on one way, just line up the "D" shaped slot on the sensor with the throttle shaft. Don't over tighten the screws, snug is good. You don't want to break them.

How replace turn signal switch 2000 chevy blazer?

Since the 2000 chevy blazer is equipped with SRS (Saftey Restraint System), ie: Airbags, which is located in the steering wheel. In order to replace the turn signal switch you must remove the steering wheel. Therefore I would only highly advise you to take it to a dealer to have this done.
