How to start 92 npr diesel in cold weather

You will probably need some Ether based starting fluid. You may have to remove air filter to shoot a 2 second blast into the intake - but first try shooting the air intake with the 2 second blast and start vehicle. Diesel fuel tends to thicken in cold weather and a fuel additive like Lowes diesel fuel treatment may help keep your fuel fluid in colder weather. In cold weather, like on a night of clear skies causing low temperatures, a block engine heater will help to keep your fuel fluid - along with the diesel treatment. Block heaters are not too difficult to install depending on your vehicles configuration and how much room you have at a freeze plug, and are well worth the cost.
Hope this helps and please rate my solution!!

Can you use 5w30 in a 2001 jeep grand cherokee laredo?

Unless you live in an extremely cold climate (sub or close to sub zero) I'd recommend using at least a 10w 40 oil. The first number indicates how well the oil pours (flows) at freezing, the second is how well it protects at operating temperature. Your other option is to use a 10W 40 synthetic which actually flows and protects far beyond the #'s on the container on both ends of the scale. One reason some manufacturers have specified a lower first number is because they feel that will keep the piston rings free.
In reality, any good oil will do that (non-paraffin base) and any of the synthetics will do it better. I live in an area where we get both very cold weather and also some very hot weather. I use a 20w 50 synthetic and have never had an oil related problem (my engines regularly go over 350K and vehicles are replaced for other non engine related reasons such as body rust)

you can go to NAPA or Autozone and tell them the year make and model and they can get the right transmission fluid for your car and if you live where it is subzero tempatures then I would recommend a heated dip sticks for parking over night

Hi Durag

Or coolant by its other name, and usually green, or pink.

Definately recommended, at 4O% strength to protect your cooling system from freeze damage, and normaly includes an addative to inhibit corrosion, and increase the boiling point of your coolant temperature.
If you are experiencing Extreme Sub Zero cold weather and chill factors, an increase of coolant strength is advisable.

You can check the strength of you cars coolant, with the aid of an anti freeze tester tool, kept in all garages.

Hope this is of help.

Doors keep freezing shut in michigan weather

From you description I suspect water is getting into the door latch. Then it freezes and stops the latch from moving properly. The solution is to keep the water out and the best way to do that is to make sure all the rubber seals around the window and door are working properly and in good condition.
