Antfreeze around spark plugs normally means a leak between the combustion chamber and your water jacket or in laymans term a bad head gasket or possibly a cracked or warped head. But more information would be needed to determine your problem like did the vehicle overheat is there a lot of white smoke comming from the tail pipe and is there antifreeze comming from the tail pipe, how many miles etc, etc. Do you know a good mechanic that you can trust?

95 Chevy caprice leaking antifreeze from what looks like a pipe under the engine.. But the serpentine belt is wet & spraying antifreeze, so wherever it's leaking from, it's hitting the serpentine belt

Your water pump has a small hole on the top and the bottom of the housing right behind the belt pulley. This is known as a weep hole and is there to let you know when the front seal has gone out of the pump and it is in need of changing. You really want to get this taken care of because on your engine the ignition system is ran off of the crank pulley and is known as "Opti-Spark" when the system gets antifreeze in it it usually goes bad. The Opti-Spark distributor sits right underneath the water pump, so a leaking water pump soon will take out your distributor which is another added expense.

You need a new Valve Cover Gasket. The rubber seals around the spark plug holes on the Valve Cover are leaking. A new Valve Cover Gasket will come with the round gaskets that seal the spark plug hole.

If you have white smoke coming out your exhaust, it has to be a head gasket. The symptoms of an intake manifold leak are either and external leak (leaking on the ground) or water in the crank case (mixing with the oil and making it look like chocolate milk-shake) A leaking intake gasket will not cause the antifreeze to enter the combution chambers.

To diagnose which head is leaking, you can remove the valve covers and remove all the rocker arms then put compressed air into each spark plug hole and watch the radiator for bubbles. Looking at the spark plugs may also tell you without having to do this...The spark plug in the leaking cylinder will be very white on the electrode.

Run a compression test, alot of times the engine overheats and blows the headgasket, once the spark plugs are removed watch the holes and see if antifreeze shoots out of them while preforming the compression test. More than likey this is the problem. The head can be removed and pressure checked to ensure it has no cracks and then it will need to be resurfaced prior to reinstallation. Hope this helps, let me know.

Leaking antifreeze

Yes I think this is the obvious one here. It could also be a core plug weeping, but unlikely unless you've been using water instead of coolant.

Get a couple of quotes for waterpump AND timing belt replacement - as the belt usually has to come off anyway.

2000 chevy suburban has a cooling system leak what kind of sstop leak do you recommend

I try not to use radiator stop leak to fix any leak, the stop leak will tend plug up the cooling journals and jackets through out the engine, radiator and heater core. If you are going to use any stop leak just to help you get to a repair shop, use just plain black kitchen pepper. The black pepper will plug up the hole where the leak is coming from and when it's time to repair the cooling system, the pepper will clean right out with just a simple coolant flush. Locate the leak and have it repaired, if it's the water pump leaking through the weep hole. Your going to have to have the water pump replaced, and if it's the heater core that is leaking. That's going to have to be repaired, and at worst, if the intake manifold gasket is leaking antifreeze in to the engine. That's bad and need to be repaired as soon as you can, the Antifreeze is corrosive to the engine's bearing and it's know to have the engine's bearing to go bad in 3000 miles of antifreeze mixed in with the engine oil. Good luck and hope it's just a small leak through a hose clamp or the radiator.

Spark plug doesn't fit right

The plug has probably been cross threaded in. If you try to remove it you may break it. If you do & it breaks & depending on where you live, you can ask around if anyone knows of anyone who can put a helio coil in where the spark plug hole is. It is a device which is threaded on both sides. He will tape the head spark plug hole & insert this device. Might cost a $100 or so. Good luck & I hope this helps you!
