If is not the head gasket you have a cracked head or block. check the head gasket first, you can see if it was leaking.

P0307 code on a 2005 crown vic

Cylinder misfire on #7.could be bad spark plug,or bad coil.try replacing coil and plug at# 7. It is the second last plug on the driver's side. If you pull the coil out and there is antifreeze in the spark plug hole, you may have a bad intake gasket or cracked intake manifold and the antifreeze is shorting the coil out. In that case you may have to replace the intake manifold.

Run a compression test, alot of times the engine overheats and blows the headgasket, once the spark plugs are removed watch the holes and see if antifreeze shoots out of them while preforming the compression test. More than likey this is the problem. The head can be removed and pressure checked to ensure it has no cracks and then it will need to be resurfaced prior to reinstallation. Hope this helps, let me know.

1999 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight has multiple misfires with pistons. What could be the problem?

check your plenum its probably your problem. Its the plastic intake on top of the motor. This part over heats causing holes in it near the egr which causes antifreeze to pour into your exhaust and making it look like you blew a head gasket, and also allows your spark plugs get wet causing the miss fire. To check take the throttle body off and see if there is antifreeze sitting on top off the motor you'll need a flash light. I had the same problem You can check out info on the internet about this famous problem gm had. If you know how to work on cars its easy to do it yourself. The part cost about 200 or more

On the side of te head above the # 3 spark plug check to see if ou have a frost lug there in the head, Also check if there are any heater hoses in this area to be sure that they are not spraying antifreeze from a pin hole. Before you go and buy a new or used head be sure that the head is the actual problem, it could be as simple as a head gasket. Also check to see if you have white smoke coming out of your exhaust as this is a tell tail sign of a head gasket.
