Matbro pressure problems

Matbro tr 250 powershift plus evry 4 seconds the engine comes under a pull an there seems to b a valve or something blowing of under the dash it seems to b slowing down the main hydraulics

That would be exactly what I would look for... When the catalytic honeycombs become blocked, it causes a build-up of exhaust pressure... and this restriction in the exhaust will also have a very definite effect on engine performance: The typical symptoms are an engine that initially seems to running okay, but slowly loses power.. in severe cases it will lose power to the point the engine stalls and will not restart until the pressure build up bleeds off.

LOOK AT THE WHITE PLASTIC HOSE GOING TO THE RECIRC VACUUM ACTUATOR UNDER HOOD. THIS IS ON TOP OF A/C BOX BY RIGHT SIDE OF FIRE WALL YOU WILL FIND THIS HOSE IS STARTING TO COME APART REPAIR HOSE AND PROBLEM FIXED.

SOURCE: Valve train tapping?

The 6.0 engine had an issue with piston to bore clearances, from the factory these clearances were excessive. It is reffered to as "piston slap". This condition is known by GM, but most dealers say it's normal. It can be as slight as an annoying tick, to a clearly audible clacking noise. Unfortunately the condition was under played by GM, and there are many folks who haven't been able to get help with their trucks. I own an '03 Silverado w/6.0, and hear this noise everytime I start my truck. I deal with it, because I'm a mechanic and figure I'll be able to fix it if I need to. Research more online about this condition. I've found many websites that relate to this issue (Google: 6.0 piston slap) I hope this helps.

Find your firewall electrical junction block (where all the wires enter the cabin on the passenger side) and with a zip tie pull up the wire bundle so it does not ride on the upper tie rods and, fasten the zip tie to anything that is solid in the engine compartment and, let me know what happens

Ecm fuse keeps blowing the second you start truck


What engine? Check the wiring under the air cleaner to the fuel injectors. It was pretty common for them to get pinched under the air cleaner and short out.

2001 chevy 2500 hd 4x2 allison trans seems to loose pressure after coming to a stop, have to rev engine for a few seconds before it pulls again, whats up with that? 88800 miles


I would start
by changing both trans filters and fluid, makesure you put dex VI in trans then if still having problems take to someone with a Tech 2 scanner and have them reset the trans adapts and try that, what it does is resets trans to factory (new) mode and then as you drive the truck it will adjust to your driving habits and shift points, but loosing pressure makes me think one of your filters is partially plugged...there is a spin on cartridge and the internal one in pan, change em both..good luck

check your blower motor under the passenger side of the dash, round plastic box three screws pull it out something might have fallen though your cowl and chewed up the fan blades. as for the ac your r-12 is probly empty or has a leak bring it to a local garage and have them flush and fill your cooling system. heater would be your thermostat not openig properly, by far your cheapest fix under ten dollar part.

Front fuel tank not working properly


Your truck has a mechanical switch that may not be working. Check it for power and ground.

One of the problems with 2 tanks is a lot of folks only run off of one and then you can get a sludge build up and could have a plugged pick up line.
Try this remove the fuel cap for the front tank.
Disconnect the front tank fuel line from the switch valve.
If you are not getting a good flow of fuel using low pressure air no more than 25 to 40 PSI blow back into the tank.
Now do you have fuel flow?
Your switch valve may be plugged on the front tank side - If you are getting fuel to the switch valve and not through it I would replace the valve.
You may also have a bad dash switch

Oil coming out of engine oil filler cap even though i have changed oil filler cap


The engine breather pipe seems to be blocked.
It may also damage the oil seals.

Check engine light comes on intermittently. Code 14, replaced air idle control valve. Ck engine light still comes on. What the problem?


If you are secure that the repair was done correctly, pull the 7.5 backup fuse (with the car turned off) in the under hood fuse box and wait 10 or 15 seconds before putting it back in. That should clear your engine light. You will have to reset your clock, and any selected radio settings.
If you do not have an anti-theft radio, you could simply disconnect the negative battery terminal for 10 or 15 seconds and that would do the same thing, but if you have an anti-theft radio that would require a code reset, meaning that you would have to have the five digit code.
If the engine light comes back on after the reset, then something has gone wrong with the repair.
