SOURCE: ac clutch going out on 93 dodge dakota

If the clutch is noisy from a bad bearing then don't drive far,if the compressor clutch pulley bearing seizes up it will freeze the pulley and the belt will burn off, and you are stuck, if you mean the anything else besides this drive it.

SOURCE: How to change an alternator belt on a 1989 Dodge dakota 3.9L?

Raise up on the tensioner to remove the belt. there shouold be a routing schematic on the fan shroud. If not draw one before removing the old belt. That's pretty much all you have to do....or at least thats the easiest way for me

Well you have to get is a clutch job. This means pull the tranny, pull and replace the clutch disc, the pressure plate, and the throw out bearing. Also have the flywheel resurfaced. It makes no sense to take it completely apart and replace just one part, when all of them are worn out. Get a repair manual for a few bucks on ebay and see how involved it is before you start.

I have not tried myself but see if the link below will work for your case. It is not the same model as you have but most vehicles have the same components for the non electronic parts. http://www.2carpros.com/forum/1988-dodge-dakota--bleding-air-out-of-clutch-master-cylinder-vt248517.html
