I have a 2000 dodge avenger that I recently bought. My heater works but doesnt blow hot air, any sugestions on getting it to blow heat.

Check the heater lines going in the firewall. One hot, one maybe warm? replace the heater core. Both hot, replace the blend door actuator.

Smells like burning when heater is on. Think maybe the clutch is going out on the compressor. How can this be unplugged so the heater will work until the compressor can be replace in the spring?

You could unplug the connector at the front of the A/C compressor but it is more likely that your burning smell is coming form inside the heater box. You may have leaves or something that is laying up against the blower motor resistor, or it is just plain starting to burn out. Not an uncommon problem.

Ridiculous the heat doesnt work

First, check to make sure the coolant level is full...if not, it will bypass the heater core. Next, try replacing the thermostat and radiator cap. These are both inexpensive, and it's a good idea to replace them periodically. Finally, you may need to replace your heater core. Unless you are mechanically inclined, this is something best left to a mechanic. The difficulty of changing this ranges from vehicle to vehicle.

Choke doesnt work

check for codes, you will need a scanner to look at data to try to find the problem. Their is no other way to do this. Make sure everything is tight. maybe you left something off, unplugged or something from before.

I have an audi a4 1.8 se 1998 the heating system doesnt work inside the car i have checked the oil and the coolent they ok

Its very probably the heater core underneath the dashboard. This has the connections and valves that draw hot water from the engine cooling system. If this is not working then the heating will not work. This needs to be checked out by a mechanic as its pretty tricky to fix and may need to be replaced. Check that the fuses are good first though as it maybe something as simple as that.

I want to change a block heater cord

If you have a frost plug type heater the cord does unplug from the unit.
if its a in line hose type heater chances are you wont be able to replace just the cord.

Heater control only works on high

You need a blower motor resistor, and the heater blower motor should be checked for high amp draw. check Napa for the part or go to Dodge..prpbably about 60.00 dollars.
