F-150 clicks, battery ok. Cable from starter to battery checks out.

Disconnect both Positive and Negative battery cables and load test battery. If you don't have a load tester just about any parts store will test it for you. If it checks out good clean both battery cable ends and the opposite ends at the starter relay and the engine block. Then go from starter relay to the starter and clean those connections. When you have a no start condition like this you have to start at the battery and check every connection and component along the way. You cant start in the middle or assume the battery is good because the lights come on or the radio will play. Also if the battery is bad after you replace it check the charging to make sure it is putting out enough voltage to keep the new battery charged.

I unplug my battery , and when I plug again my radio doesnt work , the radio ask me for a code what I do?

Each time you disconnect the battery, the computer loses all codes for security system, radio, etc. If you know the code for radio, enter it into radio using the number buttons. To prevent this again in the future, you should purchase a power cord for the computer. It has the lighter plug on one end and a plug you connect to the car's computer. Plug the lighter plug into any 12 volt plug (not the lighter socket in your car)...you can purchase a portable jump starter with the 12 volt socket. The purpose of this is to keep the car's computer "powered" while you disconnect the battery.

Fcar wouldn't start the other day thought it may be the battery since it was seven years old. Now the car won't start even with the new battery. thinking its the altenator was told a new one of them is...

CHECK BATTERY GROUND CABLE AND POSITIVE BATTERY CABLE MAKE SURE THEY ARE CLEAN AND TIGHT CHECK THE STARTER FUSE AND RELAY.IF BOTH GOOD YOUR STARTER OR STARTER SOLENOID OPEN OR YOUR THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM NEEDS CHECKING WITH A SCANNER TO LOOK FOR FAULT CODE.IT WILL CAUSE NO START PROBLEMS.A FAULTY BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH AND FAULTY TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH WILL CAUSE STARTER NOT TO WORK.TURN OFF RADIO FIRST IF YOU DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE TO KEEP FROM LOCKING OUT RADIO.IF ALTERNATOR BAD MOST TIME YOU WILL SEE A BATTERY OR CHARGE LIGHT ON DASH. BUT MOST OF THE TIME STARTER FUSE AND RELAY COULD BE THE PROBLEM.

Had starter put on and now the radio is giving me an error code message

when the repair facility replaced the starter they disconnected the battery causing the radio to be locked out. when disconnecting the battery a memory saver should be connected to the car. this is a simple device consisting of a 9v battery that plugs into the lighter socket. it keeps the computer memory intact until the battery is reconnected. the dealer will have the unlock code but probably charge you. i would attempt to hold the repair facility responsible.
