Question about 2001 Audi A4
Head Unit: Audi A4 2001 symphony radio How to tap into the unused CD changer port (female 13 pin DIN, have pin out already) in the trunk so I can stream audio? How to fool the stereo head unit to accept a sound source? Will it work if I just connect to the L & R pins?

Nope - you need the radio removal keys. You should see some small holes or slots near the edge of the faceplate - there are keys that go into them to unlock the radio. A stereo shop will have them - they may even pull the deck for you if you ask nicely. Only takes a few seconds, and it saves you having to buy the keys.

usually circuits have internal protection for this. Call your dealer and ask the service department if this happens and if there is a reset or simple fix.
