SOURCE: I had a broken rt.

If you try to disassemble the mirror, you gonna break the locking tabs that hold the parts inside right off. Your best option is to lightly sand the mirror, purchase the closest matching paint, if not exact paint color of your vehicle, and respray the new mirror. Let it dry thoroughly and mount it to the vehicle.

How can i fix my controller to work my side mirrors on my A class mercedes 140 automatic

Hi there. Have you tried checking the fuses or the connection between the two mirrors.
Sometimes the fuse will blow causing the problem.
Also wires could have become corded due to rust

Good evening, I have a Mercedes Benz S320 CDi W220, 2001 51 Reg. All of a sudden the Horn, Drivers Elec Seat, Heated Seat, Windows Folding Mirrors, Elec Mirrors stopped working along with the Airmati

I think you are the victim of an otherwise good idea; theft protection that has disabled the electrical system.

I believe you will have better luck going to an MB forum and posting your question there:

1997 s320 mercedes benz fuse keep blowing

Mr, Washington, since you have blown fuse and even after you replace it still blown,it is better to find the fuse for what purpose is for on the car and try to get deeper check if you can or if you do not ,just ask the assistance from an expert electrician. Please do not attempt to use an over the specified amps. If you try or tried it is a risk to blow the circuit, ECU or the sensor which is covering it.

Car running starter sill stays engaged blew fuse for the side veiw mirrors and reverse lamp and problem stopped, is there maybe a relay that controls the mirrors ? or reverse lights that may be sticky and...

Hi,

The problem in the starter would be the relay for the solenoid or the ignition switch that might have been stuck in the "ign" postion.

The side view mirror fuse blows might have been a faulty electrical connection on the wires leading to the side view mirror.

The reverse light, if the bulb is busted, needs only to replace. If there is a new bulb, still does not work, the reverse switch on the transmission might be broken or disconnected.

As you could see, they have connected differently.

Hope that helps you out!

Thanks for using Fixya!

The fuse controlling the outside mirrors of my 1997 S420 blows up everytime I try to adjust it. Any idea why and where the problem could be

Yes, you have what is called a short to voltage or short to ground. the wiring between the controls and the mirror have a nick, cut or gouge and they are touching where they shouldn't be.
