It's in the engine compartment IOD#2. It's a black module with two fuses in it. Take that module off and replace the 20 AMP one.

SOURCE: 2005 jeep grand cherokee ac blows cold only on drivers side

I agree, these vehicles have a problem with the blend doors and since the accuators hit the door when it opens and closes, it breaks the doors. and it's a huge job to replace them.

How do you release the rear liftgate latch on a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. It is unlocked but pulling the handle will not release the latch that holds it closed. It is not frozen or rusted?

Unlock the doors with the power unlock button then you have to push in on the bottom part of the plastic bezel that surrounds the liftgate handle, while at the same time pulling the liftgate handle outwards. It should open then.

I have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee laredo. The overhead panel says liftgate open but it isnt. I have tightened and oiled everything I can see on the liftgate. No results. Help

There is a switch, most likely built into the latch, that tells the body control module when the liftgate is open or closed. If that fails what you experience will happen. An open / shorted wire or bad BCM or overhead panel will also cause the "liftgate open" indicator to be on. Try and locate the switch and look for obvious damage.

Hello I am Jeremy I have a jeep grand Cherokee and it's alarm is going off and it will start for a 1 - 3 seconds and i could press the gas and it rebs up then dies again i found this wire in the drivers...

This is what you need to do: Unground the wire you mention. Close the hood and the liftgate and flipper glass. Close all doors. lock everything out. Wait 30 seconds. Insert the key en either front door or liftgate until the interior light comes on. Next open the driver door. Ground the wire you have mentioned, leave it grounded. Start the engine. That sequence should do it.

1993 jeep grand cherokee liftgate wont open

i just fixed the liftgate on my 1998 JGC Laredo this afternoon: door handle, when lifted, does not release latch mechanism

here is a solution that may apply to you...

1. open liftgate flipper window
2. remove door panel screws from inside
3. use coat hanger to pull up on locking mechanism arm (at the bottom) to release latch mechanism
4. with door now open, remove remaining door panel screws to completely remove door panel
5. adjust the positioning of the latch rod in its retaining clip (open clip and reposition rod)
in my case, I had took much slack and repositioned the rod by a few threads (about 1/8th inch) in the clip.
be sure rod is seated fully in the clip and that the clip is securely closed
5. test your fix before re-assembling everything

want a long, detailed version? let me know.
