Almost the same problems but,

Some times the check engin light comes on but when you put in gear she gerks har in to gear the you push on the gas and the rpm's gos to 2 1/2 rpm's befor it wants to go. And some times you.ll go to put it in gear and the digital read freaks out and says all of them at once drive, prak, reverce, first ,second,& therd. the shop i took it to says its the moder mont but they replaced it and it still has the same problem. so then we replaced the shifter and again we are still haveing the same problem. so what do you think is my problem?

I actually had a similar problem with the gear shifting. It would drop out of gear and just get real jerky around 2nd and 3rd. Mine eventually started randomly dropping into 2nd while id be on the highway which is extremely dangerous. I had 3 or 4 different sensors changed but nothing ever got better. I finally filed for the lemon law as ive heard many 2005 forenza owners have so they actually just replaced my entire transmission. I have an automatic too! so there shouldnt be anything wrong with the shifting. It's been fine since then. It may just be your transmission though. try to catch it early before your warranty is up. good luck.

HOLD keeps coming on in my 99 kia sportage what does that mean

Look on the shifter lever, just bellow the push button. There is another push button there. That's the one you press or depress to keep the transmission on 3rd. gear. Just press it again and the hold light should come off.

Check Engine light is on. Find out what DTC (diagnostic trouble code) is set and I can help you more. You can get a code puller from your local parts store.

Gear shifter is stuck in park and is hard to push button in

Have the brake lights checked to verify they work, if they are not working the system will stay locked in park, most likely the problem is a degfective brake light switch.
