The mass airflow can get dirty and you will get trouble codes for everything under the hood except for the mass airflow. Try unplugging your mass airflow and driving the vehicle, if your problem goes away you need to clean the sensor. Buy some mass airflow cleaner though because other cleaners can damage the coating on the sensor.

do you mean P0171??
If so, then it means your MAF sensor may be dirty and needs to either be cleaned or replaced.
It could also mean there's a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF sensor

Hi,
This is a common problem on this model. This code refers to a problem with fuel level sensor. You could try to disconnect the battery for few minutes, and then reconnect the same. This might resolve the problem unless you would need to replace the fuel sending unit.
NTB07-069c -REVISED-
2005-2009 NISSAN FRONTIER, XTERRA, PATHFINDER; FUEL GAUGE ISSUES &/OR DTC P0461/2/3
The fuel gauge is erratic, inaccurate, or inoperative.
And/or
The MIL is "ON" with DTC P0461, P0462, or P0463 stored in Self-Diagnosis.

On most occasions, i have seen dealer offering the part without any charge, if you are being a regular customer as this is a common problem and already explained in the technical bulletin.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I have gotten the codes p0171 and p0134 what are they

P0171 indicates system lean (bank 1). P0134 indicates no activity from sensor 1 on bank 1. You could have a bad O2 sensor or an actual lean condition. Possible causes of a lean condition include a restricted fuel filter on a vacuum leak.

P0171 indicates a lean condition. The most common cause of this is a defective mass air flow sensor. Also check if any vacuum leaks.Replace MAf sensor,if cleaning the MAF does not help.
OBD II P0172 Fuel System Too Rich (Bank 1).P0172 - System Too Rich (Bank 1) Essentially this DTC means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 detected a rich condition.
When the code says that the Fuel System is "too rich," it means that the computer has been subtracting more and more fuel, which is called Long Term Fuel Trim. Ideally, the Long Term Fuel Trim should be close to 1 to 2 percent. When a code P0172 is set, it means that the Fuel Trim is anywhere from -15 percent to as low as -30 percent compensated. When this happens, the computer knows that there is an improper condition in the control of the Fuel System.

Thanks.
